Jin-Hye wanted to finish her song so much but the frustration for her brother keeps on getting in the way. Their call didn’t help even one bit and it even made everything worse. At the age of 15, she was considered by others as a musical genius. She had already created different songs but she doesn’t release it officially. Most people got to know her from her street performance of her original songs. Some passers-by took videos of her and uploaded it in different social networking sites. Although young, she had already recorded some of her songs officially by renting some cheap recording studio out of her own pocket money. And maybe for the first time, she got stuck on a song. It has been over a month since she created the melody of her new songs but for some her reason, there was no perfect lyrics that she can come up with. Jin-Hye was the kind of songwriter who sticks up with the melody she comes up with. She always makes sure she completes it.
“One and Two and Three and Four~”
Loss. Loss. Loss.
Few more minutes passed and still, no lyrics come up. Looking up to her clock, it has already been past midnight but she still picked up her hoodie and wore it, changing her slippers into her walking shoes. She makes sure that she has her mobile phone, headphone, and some money as she slowly heads outside for a walk. She plugged in her headphone to her mobile phone with the current melody of her song playing as she heads towards her favourite spot near Han River.

Jin-Hye sat down by the bench by the side as she feels the cool breeze of the night. The area in this neighbourhood is safe that she can freely roam around at night to cool down her mind or even get some inspiration. She took out her phone, ready to start some
lyrics when she noticed a new email on her phone.
From: YG Entertainment
Seeing it was not a shock anymore. Ever since her brother joined them, they had been contacting her in different means with different propositions. Every time is something new that keeps getting better and tempting but she knows that there will always be a catch. If only the Korean entertainment industry isn’t so brutal then maybe she would have joined her brother. There was nothing could make her happy more than music. Today’s generation of idols is way different from the second generation of BigBang and 2NE1. She adored them, making her love music more. She was a fan of YG which made her dream of being an idol. However, it scared her how those wonderful people can still be hated. It made her drop her dream immediately, being so young. And once her brother joined them and began to change. She fixed her mind to never be like her brother. And just like always, she just disregarded the email without even reading the contents and put her phone back to the pockets of her hoodie, making her lose interest in writing some lyrics for tonight.
“Why is my day like this?” Jin-Hye keeps on mumbling to herself just ease the frustrations that she had been feeling for the whole day when she suddenly felt something cold in her right cheek. She immediately covered her cheek and turned to her right to saw a new face who looks really tired and her talk buddy smirking, Kim Donghyuk.
“Kinda weird to see you twice a day.” Donghyuk sat down beside her. “Before I forgot, this is a member of my team, he’s older than me so he’s definitely older that you. Song Yunhyeong.” The guy looks nice. He gave Jin-Hye a sweet smile and a nod.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Song Jin-Hye. 15 years old.”
“Nice to meet you, too. I didn’t know Donghyuk knew someone from around the area since he doesn’t really live here. Do you mind if I take a sit also?” Yunhyeong asked politely that gained a nod from Jin-Hye.
“Sure. No problem.” It was weird to find someone in the night other than Donghyuk. “We really haven’t been friends for a long time. We happened to be talking buddies. We just happened to meet here a few months ago by chance.” Although shy, Jin-Hye gave the guy a sweet smile.
“Then you must be that person that he was talking about that was good at writing songs.” Jin-Hye immediately glared at Donghyuk who just pretended to not hear anything. Yunhyeong caught her reaction and thought he said something wrong.
“I’m sorry. Is that something that I shouldn’t have said?” But Donghyuk just laughed at him. “Don’t worry about it, hyung. She doesn’t really mind. She’s just shy. So how’s the current song coming up?” Donghyuk asked as he took a sip of the cold drink that touched her cheek a while ago which caused her to frown once again.
“Negative. I’m just stuck. I don’t know why.” Jin-Hye gave off a big sigh and pouted which received a soft flick of finger in her lips. “Stop frustrating yourself so much. This is a first time seeing you like this. It’ll come eventually. Can I take a look at what you’ve come up with so far? We may have been practicing more of dancing but we also sing. Yunhyeong-hyung really have a nice voice if you like to hear.” Donghyuk teasingly eyed his hyung which immediately received a ‘No’ from Yunhyeong.
Jin-Hye plugged out her headphones to let the guys hear of the melody she came up with. After a few minutes of melody, Yunhyeong gave her a few claps in awe.
“Wow. You’re so young and yet you can make something this good. It has the western kind of vibe. Being so young also brings out your creativeness. So what’s the concept you’ve come up with?” With music at their topic, it easily broke off the ice between Jin-Hye and Yunhyeong.
“Well, I wanted it first to be about heartbreak. The songs I come up with usually rounds up about love. Not that I really have any experience.” Her last words made Donghyuk and even Yunheyoung give a small laugh which made her blush in embarrassment. “I just happened to like reading too which helps me come up with the concepts.” She added.
“You just sounded like someone we know. Our leader. He’s also a composer like you. Some of his songs are also about love but he always complains about how lonely he was.” Yunhyeong made Donghyuk give a big laugh with his words also giving few words of agreement in between his laughs.
“Maybe you can give me some new concepts that I can use. Since the beat that I am also using is kind of different from my previous songs which may be the reason why I’m struggling.” Jin-Hye gave little glances to Donghyuk and Yunhyeong which also made the two think.
“I think you can stick with heartbreak but include a different concept like self-love. Like how a person prioritizes himself after the heartbreak.” Donghyuk’s idea suddenly peaked up Jin-Hye’s interest. She took note of it in her phone to make sure she remembers for later.
“Donghyuk’s idea is good. Having this mean vibe, it would really have this western song kind of feeling.” Jin-Hye gave them thanks and a smile. “What are doing here by the way? You had practice earlier so shouldn’t you be resting by now?”
“We had late dinner with the other team but hyung and I were looking for some drinks. Sadly the convenience store near our dorm doesn’t have any and the next nearest one is the one near here. So I happen to just see you again.” Looking at the two boys’ face, they really do seem to look very tired.
“So how was the day for you then?” Jin-Hye fiddled on the ends of her hoodie.
“Terrible once again.” Donghyuk laughed off which gained a laugh from Yunhyeong. “It was worse than terrible.” Yunhyeong added. “Hanbin, our leader, went nuts on us again. Not that we can blame him. We doing just okay but we need to be better than okay. We’re going to have our monthly assessment by the end of the month. So the past few days have been worse.”
“Hey. I’m just curious. Donghyuk doesn’t really tell me much about what he does so I pretty much thought that he’s trying to be a performer based from all the dance and vocal practices that we’ve talked about but I just want to know..” Jin-Hye was hesitant but decided to continue her question. “Why do you push so hard? What makes you push so hard?” Her question made the two of them silent but it was Yunhyeong who first answered.
“Because it’s my dream.” He was looking tired but his eyes shows clear sincerity. Donghyuk just showed a smile as he looks at his hyung. “And we know, one day it’s definitely going to come true.” Donghyuk simply added.
“Just like my brother.” Jin-Hye mumbled which made the two boys unable to hear it. “I wish I can be like you guys. Being brave enough to face your dreams.” Jin-Hye’s words brought confusion to Yunhyeong.
“Aren’t you facing your dream right now?” This caught her attention as she look at Yunhyeong. “From writing songs, aren’t you going to pursue being a song writer?”
A dream of being a songwriter. A dream of singing and dancing. A dream of becoming an idol. A dream she had let go.
Jin-Hye gave off a sad smile. “It’s just a hobby of mine. It’s nothing really serious.” Saying those words hurted her more than she expected it would.
“Well..” Although the air became awkward as the two guys felt it was a bad topic, Yunhyeong gave Jin-Hye a small pat in her shoulder. “It’s a great hobby.” She then mumbled a small thanks.
The three of them talked a little bit more and decided to head home when they realized that it was already nearing 2’o clock in the morning. Even though Donghyuk and Yunhyeong wanted to walk Jin-Hye home, she assured them that she lives nearby and would just send Donghyuk a message one she arrives home. After fifteen minutes of walk, she arrives home and sent Donghyuk the promised message. She was supposed to sleep already when she remembered the talk with Donghyuk and Yunhyeong earlier.
Heartbreak. Self-love. Her dreams.
“Listen, don't worry about others and mind your own business.”

Song #46 – 1,2,3,4 finished
-------
I’m going to use Lee Hi’s songs for Jin-Hye’s songs. I really love Lee Hi’s voice. She’s the one of the best soloist I’ve ever known.
