Taemin asked Key again, “Have you spoken to her lately?”. Key replied sheepishly while at the same time he was reminiscing over their trip overseas with the word, “Yeah”.
Jonghyun looked disappointedly at both Key and Taemin and shook his head in frustration and then asked abruptly, “Why didn’t I know about this girl, whoever she is?
Key put his head down, hoping Jonghyun would first calm down so he could explain. But Taemin decided to answer Jonghyun’s question, saying, “Key didn’t want anyone to know about her until he was sure she was interested in a long-distance relationship.”
Taemin then looked at Key waiting for him to add on, then Key lifted his head to answer Jonghyun. Key swallowed nervously and was about to speak when Onew and Minho turned up. Onew and Minho hadn’t noticed at first the tension because they were both happy from the work they’d accomplished on set for the new upcoming K-drama they were both starring in. However, Onew and Minho suddenly realised when they saw the strained look on Key’s face as his expression was indicating that they both hurry up and sit down. They both quickly sat down and looked intently at Key.
Key started speaking but now Jonghyun was already upset decided to get up from his seat. Key was taken aback that he also stood up and then he grabbed Jonghyun’s hand and led him outside. Key now told Jonghyun all about the girl he met in China. Jonghyun realised now that Key was trying to keep her a secret because of his family and their expectations of a potential marriage partner. They both agreed that it was in Key’s girlfriend’s best interests not to talk about her openly.
But they couldn’t keep her a secret forever!
And besides Key was now willing to risk being disowned by his family by not following their wishes!
What would Key do? That’s the question that was on the mind of all his best friends.
Key now made a phone call to his girl. She answered, “Hi, Key? Is that you?”. Key replied, “Yes babe, I’ve missed you. I’m with my boys right now talking about you.”
