To turn to ash
Burning black as it sinks in.
Was it because the light was too strong
Knowing the end would be ash, still I
lit the fire
I was young, less mature than now
So maybe I burned more
Saying "I love you" became a fire that
burned us black, black.
I like youโno, I liked you
I love you; I can't now
The light from then still remains as an afterimage
The hallucination of flickering over ash
makes it a little hard for me.
