Unable to control the growing number of people with mystical abilities, governments around the world held emergency meetings and established special institutions in each country.
The differences between those with abilities were enormous. Even the specific abilities and their maximum caps varied. Ultimately, the government came up with a ranking system. Each individual possessed unique powers and a unique rank, which could be raised through sufficient effort.

The protagonist, Yoo Yeo-ju, whom these two were excitedly chatting about, had been praised by those around her since childhood as having a blessed body. But in reality, it was no different from a curse.

When Yeoju was young, her parents were stabbed to death by a villain who rebelled against the government. Enraged by this, Yeoju's powers manifested that day. Unsure of what it was, Yeoju felt something rise within her as she held her parents' limp hands. She then vomited blood and collapsed.
And when she opened her eyes, her dead parents, clearly in her memory, were looking down at her with tears in their eyes. This was her first appearance.
Villains usually have one power, but there are also cases where two abilities, one primary and one secondary, are manifested. The first ability to manifest is called the primary ability, and the second ability to manifest is called the secondary ability. Primary and secondary abilities usually appear in the same series. Series include water, fire, wind, space, time, spirit, light, and darkness.
The heroine's first ability manifested as a light-type ability, and her secondary ability manifested as a dark-type ability that governs souls. It's not entirely uncommon for the primary and secondary abilities to have different types. However, in the heroine's case, not only were the types in conflict with each other, but even her abilities were in conflict with each other, a situation that was unprecedented since the creation of the villain.
