You vote with hearts, and there are several ways to put them together.
By logging in every day or by attending, watching videos, completing missions, posting a video link in your chosen idol's community, the same with a good quality photo, making friends to send each other hearts, opening images from community posts to find boxes with hearts, collecting random hearts found anywhere when you're new to the app, etc.
