We're Yoongi

August D

This is a characteristic persona of Min Yoongi, quite apart from his role as "SUGA". Agust D is an artist who is frequently willing to respond to offensive comments through his lyrics. Furthermore, we can often see in his lyrics some critiques of society and how it, in many circumstances, harms people's mental stability.

This icon first appeared on August 16, 2016, the year his first mixtape, his debut album, was released. The album is available on platforms like Spotify, iTunes, and SoundCloud; however, the song "Agust D" is only available on SoundCloud.

The artist explained that this album contains lyrics he had been working on even before his debut.

However, and luckily for everyone, this year he released another album, “D-2.” This album was a surprise, as it was announced just a week before its release. However, it is the most streamed solo album on Spotify so far in 2020, due to his single “Daechwita” becoming a trend throughout Asia and even spreading to other continents.

Without a doubt, Agust D is iconic, and his lyrics are the result of great dedication and reflection over the years, but even as Min Yoongi said, Agust D is himself, and that's where he can express things that other artists might be afraid to do.
