A fairy's hope
Prologue - Part 3

(Frozen lands of the Fairy Planet)

"So this is the desolate place where fairies perish," she said, sounding a little sad.

"Yes," she replied with a slight smile. "I turn her magic into ice, and she remains here eternally so that our mother can preserve her powers."

"That's why she's weak, the magic of our sisters has disappeared," she understood instantly.

His sorcerer friend had explained to him why the kings and queens of the allied planets could not participate directly in the war.

"Did you know they will be reborn?" she said hopefully.

"Everything that exists in the world changes shape and appears in another place with the passing of the sparks..."

...it is not known when or where"

"The sorcerers filled your head with extravagant ideas," he inspired before continuing.

"I know what happened," he added impassively. "That elf died during the war."

"I hope you understand why fairies shouldn't fall in love; at least you kept your wings when you decided to leave with him."

Cristal gave her a look full of anger and pain; Winter had shown once again that she had no heart.

For a moment I wish I could be like her...

This would allow him to stop mourning Köhsêhöj's death and free himself from the rage he felt against the race that had murdered him.

"I'm not here to die," he said with determination as he showed her a necklace.

"My friend from the planet of the sorcerers found an enchantment that will erase my memories when Köhsêhöj appears in the universe."

"Wake me up when the necklace is destroyed!"

"It's crazy!" he exclaimed, breaking the monotony of his voice.

"It's the only way to see him again!" declared the fairy with tears in her eyes.

"It doesn't matter if we forget what we lived through for so long... it's possible to create something new," she said as she dried her tears.

"Mother never imagined that a hundred sparks (200 years) would be enough for me to fall in love while serving on the planet of the elves"

At that moment, a small light sprouted from deep within Winter as a voice in her head reminded her of her reason for being.

“Magic is useful if we can help others.”

She finally understood why she was different from the others; she was created to free her sisters from sadness.

A broken heart would prevent him from fulfilling his kind mission.

"I will," she announced in an icy voice, her determination unwavering. "But I don't know what will happen if you remain asleep on the ice."

"Do you want to prolong your life to find that elf, regardless of the consequences?"

"Yes, I will make any sacrifice to be with Köhsêhöj once more."

Winter took the necklace and placed it around her neck, then invoked its powers.

Snowflakes sprouted from her hands as she sang a magical melody to lull Cristal into a deep sleep...

...from which she might not awaken. And so, the young fairy was trapped in the ice.

The sisters who came to see it during the following flashes of lightning thought it was a beautiful decorative sculpture.

And the only hint of warmth in the cold abode of Winter, the winter fairy.
