Autumn Leaves
Leaf 1: Leaves (Y/N's POV)

It's Friday, the calmest day of the week.

Few students come here since they usually hang out after school, not stay at a library.

I don't like to be around people much so I make the best use of days like this.

Why be a librarian if I don't like to interact? Well, the answer's simple.

I just want to work surrounded by books. Other things I do in here are...

considered sacrifice.

The library door chimes so I took one last look at the chapter of the red book I was reading before going back to the counter.

I saw Yoongi, my usual customer at this time every single Friday.

Y/N
Returning the book from last time?

Yoongi looks different today.

It was snowing outside, so there's a scarf covering half of his face.

I didn't even notice the weather until now.

It was so sunny yesterday that it even felt like autumn.

I have nothing to battle the cold, so might as well sleep in here again when my shift ends.

Yoongi
Yes. I think I need to ask for recommendations again for the next one I'd check out.

He flashed that signature gummy smile at me and I felt the butterflies.

Y/N
You have no violent reactions from my choices?

Y/N
I'm glad!

Yoongi
They're all pretty good.

Yoongi
I'll stay here and read this one again before I go home.

He decided to sit beside the counter facing the window.

There's only the two of us so as time passes by,

it's getting kind of awkward.

While arranging today's records, I chose to hum a tune I've known eversince.

I turned to Yoongi and I got startled when I found him staring at me.

Y/N
You need anything?

Yoongi
Where did you learn that?

Y/N
The what?

Yoongi
The one you're humming.

Y/N
Oh, I think I've heard it from somewhere years ago.

Yoongi
I see.

The room turned quiet again.

I thought he knew the song but guess I just don't sound good?
