Meet the Egans

I hurriedly hopped down the stairs and joined my talented family members in the dining area, ready to stand out again in my own unique way.

Momma C

Finally! Come, take your seat before we starve here.

I took the empty seat beside my Momma C, also known as the award-winning actress Celestine Egan.

Momma C may be the sweetest and caring mom in the world, however, she can be real scary if you don't take the Egan etiquette seriously.

She's particularly hard on me most of the times. Can't blame her, having a son like me could be tedious. A smear on the perfect Egan image.

She would always tell me to live up to the Egan standards since everyone is expecting me to take the limelight, like the rest of Egans did.

I swear, she did her best to raise me to become one of them, but well since I'm not like them, she failed. And she won't accept defeat yet.

Since all of us is here, who would like to lead us in saying grace?

That earned a collective grunt from the five of us. Yep, I have four other siblings who are all talented and "perfect".

Everyone turned their heads on me, surprised, as if I wasn't there the whole time. My siblings sighed in relief upon hearing what I said.

I may not be perfect, but at least I'm not afraid to lead a prayer. 😅
