Nicky

Ugh, council meeting again? I'd rather chill in the cafe or play online games!

Shane

Oh come on, Nicky, an hour meeting will not be that bad!

Nicky

Well, well, okay fine. If only I'm not friends with you I would not drag myself into this leadership thing.

Shane

I know. And besides, we need you there to uplift the mood cause that's your expertise. Don't you agree, Matteo?

I just smiled back to Shane. Nicky shook his head in disapproval. What do I do without these two?

Shane and Nicky has been my best friends since I started attending University. We met during the admission interview.

I still clearly remember that day. We were waiting in line when Shane started the conversation, asking us what courses are we taking.

I'm set to take literature, Shane's taking chemistry, while Nicky... well he's still undecided and just wanted to take what's available 🤣

He ended up taking computer science after considering our advices. According to him, it's the closest to what he wanted to do.

Ever since, we are unseparable. We may have different schedules, but we always find ways to see each other and hang out.

That's how the student council came into the picture. Shane, the brilliant mind he is, encouraged us to join the student council.

In that way, we'll get to see each other more often. I liked the idea, since I wanted to be a leader too. Nicky was just dragged, basically.

Now on our third year, I was elected as the student council's president, while Shane and Nicky were their college's representatives.

Yes, I'm quite famous as the kindest and charismatic student council president ever...

but still it was not enough for "Egan Standards". Well, I don't mind, I enjoy what I'm doing right now. I'm the Egan's black sheep anyway.
