Coincidence
The Aftermath

Just as I was nearing the school gate, I felt arms looping around me.

Anonymous
Hey you.

I was frozen for a moment and finally relaxed when I recognized the voice.

y/n
Yerina, You scared me.

Yerin
Sorry.

She chuckled and put her arms around mine, walking forward.

Yerin
So everything okay with Minnie?

I was suspended yet again in that space of denial and envy on hearing her use the nick name I call Seungmin.

y/n
Yeah. No worries now.

I laughed it away. It was probably nothing. Right?

We parted ways and I entered the classroom but no sooner did I step inside, a hand holding my favourite chocolate extended right in front.

Seungmin
Ahem ahem.

Minnie stood in front of me, his eyes closed.

y/n
Is that supposed to be for me?

Seungmin
Are your eyes okay?

y/n
Yeah... Is that not for me?

I pouted a little. He opened his eyes and handed it.

y/n
Why were you closing your eyes anyways?

I munched on the delicious ecstasy called chocolate and took my seat.

Seungmin
I didn't want to see something ugly so soon. it's still early.

I glared at him and turned away, facing on the left since his desk was on my right.

Seungmin
You know I love you right?

His gentle voice; almost resigned made me turn back. But the words hit me like a wave.

I nodded. I smiled a bit. And I knew he meant it in every platonic way possible and it would never evolve into anything more.

I was distracted the whole class and finally decided some fresh air could do me good.

Seungmin
Where you going?

y/n
Just outside.

Seungmin
Let's go together.

He stood up to accompany me but I shook my head.

y/n
No, it's fine. I will be back soon.

I left before he could say anything more without looking back.

I reached the hallway and stared outside the window. The sky was so crystal blue, in contrast to my dark thoughts.
