Fall in Love with Sunghoon

Reason

03:55 AM

Kim Riri

"Eh, Kak Sunghoon!"

Riri immediately became excited when she saw Sunghoon walking towards the parking lot.

Shine, who knew Sunghoon was there, immediately took quick steps.

Riri, who still wanted to see Sunghoon, was a little annoyed by Shine's behavior.

Kim Riri

"What's wrong with you, Shine? You've been acting really weird all this time."

Shine didn't respond. He continued to walk quickly to avoid Sunghoon.

Riri is increasingly suspicious of Shine's strange behavior.

Suddenly, Shine stopped. He turned to face Riri.

Kim Riri

"Why?!" Riri started to get annoyed.

Choi Shine

"I forgot to borrow a book from the library."

Kim Riri

"Continue?"

Choi Shine

"I want to borrow it first. Will you accompany me?"

Riri clicked her tongue.

Kim Riri

"I don't want to! I want to go home. I'm so tired. Sunghoon seems to have gone home too."

Shine rolled his eyes.

Choi Shine

"Well, that's it. I'm going back to the library. Be careful."

Kim Riri

"Yes. Don't be too late. If I come to you, you'll be dead."

Choi Shine

"Not afraid!"

Shine and Riri part ways. Riri goes home and Shine heads to the library.

Shine is crazy about libraries. He often borrows books there.

He borrowed a book and then walked towards the spectator seats on the field.

The school was empty, so he wanted to read there.

He opened the book slowly. His eyes stared at the page he had opened.

He began to read the book silently. The quiet atmosphere made him even more immersed in his reading.

Suddenly there was a hand offering him milk.

Shine didn't respond because he thought it was Tae.

Choi Shine

"I don't want to. I'm full."

But the hand didn't move either. It was still offering Shine a bottle of milk.

Choi Shine

"Tae, I told you I—"

When Shine looked at the owner of the hand, he was shocked.

Choi Shine

"Kak Sunghoon?" gumamnya.

Sunghoon's hand was still hovering there. He moved it slowly as if offering her more milk.

As if hypnotized, Shine accepted the milk.

Sunghoon sat beside Shine without Shine's consent.

Awkwardness filled the atmosphere between them.

How could it not be? Shine is now sitting next to his dream school basketball captain who bought him milk.

What really happened? Was this a dream?

Shine didn't want to dwell on the awkwardness for too long. He continued reading as best he could.

Between them there was only the sound of pages turning and birds flying home.

Sunghoon

"Aren't you home?"

Sunghoon asked casually, seemingly unaffected by the awkward atmosphere.

Shine shook his head slowly. His head was still facing the book, but his eyes stole glances at the man beside him.

Sunghoon smiled faintly.

Shine immediately turned his head and looked at Sunghoon's face.

He swallowed his saliva.

Choi Shine

"N-no."

Sunghoon

"Are you afraid of me?"

Sunghoon raised one of his eyebrows.

Choi Shine

"I—I mean, I'm not afraid."

Sunghoon chuckled sarcastically.

Sunghoon

"Choi Shine .... I've been watching you since you were in 10th grade."

Shine glared. 10th grade?! Sunghoon was joking?

Choi Shine

"W-why?"

Now Shine was truly scared. Could this basketball captain be a kidnapper?

Instead of answering, Sunghoon went to the middle of the court and picked up a basketball to play with.

Shine tilted his head in response. What did this senior want?

Sunghoon

"Here," Sunghoon said in a flat tone.

Shine hesitated. He shook his head slowly.

Sunghoon stopped playing basketball and walked quickly over to Shine.

Sunghoon

"Why are you avoiding me?"

Sunghoon brought his face closer to Shine.

Shine pulled his body and face back in response.

Sunghoon smiled lopsidedly. He grabbed Shine's hand and pulled him to the center of the field.

Sunghoon

"Tomorrow, I'll pick you up."

After saying that, Sunghoon threw the basketball into the hoop. And went in.

Choi Shine

"Hah?"

Choi Shine

"Wait a minute, Sis. I—I mean, I don't know you that well yet. But you want to pick me up? You're dreaming?"

Returning with a lopsided smile, Sunghoon jogged towards the ball and picked it up.

Sunghoon

"You're inviting an acquaintance like that?"

Sunghoon held out his hand.

Sunghoon

"Let me introduce myself, I'm Park Sunghoon. The school basketball captain."

Shine did not accept Sunghoon's hand.

Choi Shine

"That's not what I meant. Who doesn't know you, bro?"

Sunghoon looked at his hand. He raised it to Shine's face. Then he put it in his pants pocket.

Sunghoon

"Okay, I'll pick you up tomorrow."

Shine shook his head then held his forehead.

Choi Shine

"Sorry, sister. But, it's okay."

Sunghoon likes Shine.

Sunghoon

"I'll pick you up tomorrow."

Kim Tae

"Shine. I've been waiting for you!"

Tae cut off their conversation.

Shine looked at Tae in confusion. Tae didn't seem surprised to see Sunghoon.

Choi Shine

"Why are you here? I didn't ask to be escorted home earlier."

Tae didn't reply. He stared at Sunghoon sharply.

They were almost the same height. As for Shine, he had to look up to see these two men.

Without a sound, Shine left, leaving the two men in their sharp gaze.

Sunghoon

"You're in trouble, Kim Tae."

Kim Tae

"Are you sure? Looks like you're the one in trouble."

Tae smiled lopsidedly and left the field, leaving Sunghoon alone.
