Hwawol International High School, which opened on March 1, 1997, is a nationally autonomous private high school and international school. It is a prestigious school that holds the title of number one in domestic advancement rates to prestigious universities in Korea and abroad.
The class is divided into 27 classes, and students cannot choose a track in their first year, but in their second year, they are divided into the international track (classes 1, 2, 3) for entering prestigious universities abroad, the liberal arts track (classes 4, 5, 6) for entering liberal arts colleges in Korea, and the science track (classes 7, 8, 9) for entering science colleges in Korea.
The school's motto is "Veritas, Dream, Passion." While a uniform is required, casual clothing is completely acceptable. All students are required to live in dormitories, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the school, allowing free use of iPads, laptops, and cell phones.
Located in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, the natural environment is amazing, and you can see the beautiful night sky and observe various creatures.
English classes are taught using school-produced materials and by native-speaking teachers. They are conducted with four stages of objectives, each of which is as follows:
Effective vocabulary, Errorless grammar structure, Elaborate writing skills, Eloquent speaking fluency
Additionally, novel classes, reading classes on a variety of topics, global issues explored through newspaper articles, and debate classes exploring conflicting opinions on sensitive topics are conducted in English, fostering global citizenship awareness.
In addition, project classes that reflect individual creativity are also actively being conducted.
Students can choose to develop an understanding of Japanese and Spanish culture and develop basic Japanese and Spanish conversation skills to enable communication in everyday life.
There is a music competition that provides all students with the opportunity to experience the stage and discovers students with excellent musical skills and gives them the opportunity to perform at festivals. The competition is divided into classical music, practical music, and traditional Korean music, and both singing and playing are possible.
Art classes also involve drawing various types of pictures, and through appreciation classes, students can share diverse opinions and broaden their knowledge.
Students can also experience a variety of sports. The campus features a swimming pool, ice rink, and gymnastics facilities, all freely available for students to use. Furthermore, the on-campus gym offers weight training opportunities.

Class 9, freshman, Hwawol International High School. Her outgoing personality makes her popular with other students and she's close with most of them. Her dream is to win an Olympic gold medal and to be a national gymnastics vault representative, so she was admitted through the athletics specialization program. She loves Yeoju. Her hometown is Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province.
윤여주
Class 9, Year 1, Hwawol International High School. She's Changmin's crush, and her affectionate personality makes her popular with the other students. She's Wonyoung's best friend, and her dream is to become a nurse. Her hometown is Hanam, Gyeonggi Province.
박종성
Class 9, freshman, Hwawol International High School. He's the school's official "smile spoon" and the most popular kid, making him close friends with everyone. He's a Korean-American, and his American name is Jay. His dream is to become a travel writer, and his hometown is Seattle, Washington.
최수빈
A freshman, class 9 student at Hwawol International High School. He's quite shy, but once you get to know him, he's a fun kid and easily approached by others. His dream is to become a certified labor attorney, and his hometown is Ansan, Gyeonggi Province.
이재현
Hwawol International High School freshman, class 9. He's known Changmin for a while, and thanks to his playful and fun personality, they get along well. His dream is to become an emergency medical technician, and his hometown is Songdo, Incheon.

Class 9, first year, Hwawol International High School. A boy who dreamed of becoming a soccer player but has now changed his career path to become a rapper. He has a cheerful personality and is well-liked by the other students, and he is close with Changmin and Jaehyun. His hometown is Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
장원영
Yeoju's one and only best friend and soulmate. A loyal girl who always wholeheartedly supports Yeoju in whatever she pursues. She loves animals and dreams of becoming a veterinarian. She's from Yongsan-gu, Seoul, but moved to Hanam when she was young, so she's practically a Hanam native.
문준휘
An international student from China. Entering school through the international student admissions process, he struggles to adjust, but with the help of his friends and homeroom teacher, Ki-beom, he successfully adapts to school. Later, he reveals his inherently playful personality and gets along well with his friends. His future ambition is to become an actor.
김채현
A girl from Busan. A victim of bullying in the past, she struggled to connect with her peers. However, thanks to the loyalty of Won-young and her seemingly prickly but caring homeroom teacher, Ki-beom, she adapts well to school. Originally, she dreamed of becoming a judge, but Ki-beom changed her mind and changed her dream to become a teacher.

A girl from Seoul. A popular star adored by everyone for her pretty face and lovely personality. She belongs to the same dance club as Seulgi and dreams of becoming a professional dancer.
변백현
Born in Bucheon, he moved to Seoul as a child and is best friends with Chanyeol. Like Jay, he's incredibly cheerful and popular. He has a strong sense of justice and dreams of becoming a journalist.
김예원
A girl from Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. Her friends love her for her warm and affectionate personality. She possesses a kind heart and cannot ignore those weaker than herself. Her dream is to become an international human rights lawyer.
심재윤
A boy from Brisbane, Australia. He's so innocent and naive that other kids don't swear at him for fear he'll learn Korean swear words. He loves children and dreams of becoming a pediatric surgeon. His passion for international issues has led him to dream of becoming a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
박성훈
A boy from Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. He entered the national figure skating team through the special sports admissions process and is scheduled to compete in the Sapporo Winter Asian Games. He is the ace of Korean figure skating, capable of performing all quadruple jumps. His dream is an Olympic gold medal.
전소미
He holds triple citizenship in Korea, Canada, and the Netherlands, and hails from Ontario, Canada. He's talented at drawing and has a cheerful personality, making him a good friend. His future aspiration is to become a visual designer.
박지효
A girl from Guri, Gyeonggi Province. She excels in her studies and is a model student who diligently carries out her duties. Inspired by the biography of Heo Jun, which she saw as a child, she decided to pursue a career in Oriental medicine.
홍지수
A Korean-American from California, he's free-spirited, affectionate, and secretly playful. He's a skilled guitar player and has a gentle demeanor. His future ambition is to become a businessman.
윤세은
Her dream is to become an actress, and her hometown is Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. She worked as a child actress and discovered the joy of acting from a young age. She's always been outgoing, has many friends, and knows how to take care of others.
노윤아
A member of the national women's swimming team, her main event is the 200m freestyle. Along with Chaeryeong, she is the only student in Class 9 admitted through a special athletics program and is quite strict with herself. She plans to compete in the Rio Olympics alongside Changmin and Chaeryeong. Her future dream is to win an Olympic gold medal.
이채령
A national representative in the women's taekwondo -49kg class, she hails from Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province, and is a persistent and hard-working girl. Dreaming of an Olympic gold medal, she trains diligently every day while also attending school diligently.
