I open my eyes, blinded by the bright sunlight streaming in through the window.

Kai rushes over to my bedside with two other people beside him.

Dr. Lee

Good evening, Y/N. Do you feel any better?

Y/N

What happened?

Dr. Lee

You were knocked out by a ... Simo. Somin. What was it?

He checks his clipboard.

Dr. Lee

Somi, yes! Anyway, you hurt yourself pretty bad. So we'll keep you here for another day or so, until you feel better.

He turns to walk away.

Dr. Lee

Oh, and, you have guests. Shall I bring them in?

I nod weakly.

The door clicks open.

Y/N, are you okay, oh my god oh my god Somi is such a stale sock I-

She keeps ranting until I bring my finger to my lips.

Good to know. By the way, there was this super cute scarf on sale and I thought you would like it, so I'll buy it for you once you're out!

Both of us squeal.

He drops to his knees, cupping my face.

He rolls his eyes.

That's it. Let's go out, young lady.

He whisks her out of the room, holding her firmly by the shoulders.

I have saxophone class, Y/N. I would have bunked it, but I've already missed so many.

Y/N

He smiles, patting my arm.

After he's left, I throw my head back and sigh.

The door clicks open once more.

He takes a seat next to me, placing himself on one of the plastic chairs.

I've been nothing but mean, and now you're here because of my girlfriend.

He takes my hand.

As he does so, I feel a strange warmth travel through my body. A good type of chills.
