Whisper booth
5 - Comfortable

Jake
“Erin?”

Erin
“Y-yes?” I said, confused. Is he truly a "worker" here or—

Jake
“Hmm. You sound like her...”

Erin
“Her?”

Jake
“Yeah, the girl Hee was talking about yesterday.”

Erin
I was slightly hurt. I thought yesterday was meant to be between me, the other person yesterday and the strange man in the entrance?

Jake
“Hee said he made a new friend.”

Erin
It made me more confused. “Did he tell you anything else?”

Jake
“No.”

Erin
I was slightly relieved and accidentally giggled with the way he said no. It's kinda funny to hear. Funny in a cute way.

Erin
“You're an Aussie?”

Jake
“Yes! I guess my accent gave it away huh?” he confirmed. “Anyway, why are you here anyway? Got a problem?”

Erin
Although he sounds playful, there was a hint of softness in the way he asked me. Had I not met the guy from yesterday...

Erin
I might have loved to have met this guy today. They're both... comfortable to be with, though.

Erin
“House was boring. I didn't have anything to do there and I'm too lazy to go to the mall or something.”

Jake
“Oh. So I guess your house isn't too far from here, yeah?”

Erin
“Yes!” I answered happily. The difference between him and the guy yesterday is so noticeable. The other seems like reserved and this one's..

Erin
...more cheerful.

Erin
"Can I ask?”

Jake
“Sure!”

Erin
I bet he was smiling when he said it, and then there's his accent again. “Do you take shifts? Are you really— Uhm, I thought you're not

supposed to reveal your identity?”

I expected to hear him answer right away but I heard strange noises coming from the other side and I was met with silence.
