I'm looking for something on the internet when suddenly Mrs Youn call me to her office.
"Yoori ah, how have you been? Please have a sit."
"I'm doing good Mrs Youn. What's going on? You rarely call anyone of us to your office, unless it is very important."
"Don't worry, I called you not because you made a mistake. What if, you were promoted to Senior Editor? What do you think?"
I was just stay silent for a moment, still shocked with the news.
"Yoori listen. This is not up to me to make this decision. It's actually from the management. I believe, this is due to your outstanding performance over the past year."
"Mrs Youn, I'm speechless right now. I love my current post but at the same time I'm happy to be promoted. I mean, who doesn't? I was just wondering if I could take on this post, its quite challenging."
"Don't worry, I know you can do it. You still can write for your segment, I'm not going to drop that. After all, that's the most like segment on our magazines. But being a senior editor, they maybe slightly more analytical, as you have to review, manage and guide a particular work or series of works to successful publication. As usual you will be going under 3 months probation. So, what say you?"
"I'll say, go for it. I wouldn't know, how far I could go, if I didn't try. So yes, I'll take the challenge."
"I knew it... That's my girl. You can do this and don't worry, I will always support you. You can go to HR department to sign the new appointment letter and Yoori... all the best."
"Thank you so much Mrs Youn for believing in me and for always supporting me. You've been here for me as long as I could remember. I really appreciate it. I will not let you down, I promise."
Mrs Youn smiled at me and I bowed to her before going out from her office. I took a deep breath, that's something unexpected....
