"AND" IN VERBS AND ADJECTIVES

"AND" IN VERBS AND ADJECTIVES

We have learned how to connect nouns, right? *-* We use there 와 (for nouns ending in vowels) and 과 (for nouns ending in consonants). 

Now, in order to connect verbs or adjectives, we will be using different connective.

STRUCTURE:   

VERB STEM plus 고 plus another VERB
ADJECTIVE (remove 다) plus 고 another ADJECTIVE

EXAMPLE:

저는 춤고 노래합니다.
I dance and sing.

HOW:
FIRST VERB: 춤다 (to dance)
Verb stem: 춤 plus 고 = 춤고

SECOND VERB: 노래하다 (to sing)
Verb stem: 노래하 plus 'sentence ending' (either 니다 or 요 form) -니다 was used.


엔하이픈은 사랑스럽고 멋있어요.
Enhypen is lovely and cool.

HOW:
FIRST ADJECTIVE: 사랑스럽다 (lovely)
Adjective stem: 사랑스럽 plus 고 = 사랑스럽고

SECOND ADJECTIVE: 멋있다 (cool/awesome)
Adjective stem: 멋있 plus 'sentence ending' (either 니다 or 요 form) -요 was used.


MORE EXAMPLES:

저는 앉고 김치를 먹습니다.
I sit and eat kimchi.

저는 눕고 책을 읽습니다.
I lie down and read a book.

제이크는 착하고 귀엽고 잘생겼어요.
Jake is kind, cute and handsome. *-*

나는 엔진고 엔하이픈을 너무 사랑합니다.
I am an engene and I love ENHYPEN very much.
