In Korean, we have two ways of saying something that will happen in the future. It is translated as 'will' in English.
We will learn the first one.
STRUCTURE: VERB STEM 겠다
We can conjugate 겠다 at the end of the sentences using 요 and 니다 form.
HOW TO CONJUGATE 겠다?
• Take the verb stem (just remove 다) and add 요 or 습니다.
Easy, right? *-*
EXAMPLE:
내일 숙제를 하겠습니다.
I will do homework tomorrow.
HOW:
하다 (to do)
*하 겠다 = 하겠다
In the above example, we conjugated it into 니다 form::::
하겠다 (will do)
*하겠 습니다 = 하겠습니다
Why do we conjugate verbs into -니다 or -요 form?
----- We use 니다 at the end of the sentences to show polite way of speaking, and 요 to show an informal yet polite speaking. (The -요 form, as we all know, is widely used when speaking the language *-*) Here, I'll use 니다 only... *-*
저는 엔하이픈을 응원하겠습니다.
I will cheer for ENHYPEN.
HOW:
응원하다 (to cheer/ to root for)
*응원하 겠다 = 응원하겠다
In the example, we conjugated it into 니다 form::::
응원하겠다 (will cheer)
*응원하겠 습니다 = 응원하겠습니다.
