Chaeyoung's P.O.V:
I wake up and I find myself on my bed. I am confused for a moment but then I remember what happened yesterday.
Oh god.....I reacted again when Seokjin mentioned my mom yesterday....
I have to control it.
But I can't.
I sigh and check the time. 09:00 AM. I decide to get up and take a walk around the neighborhood.
I change my clothes and I go outside, plugging in my earphones and scrolling on Instagram, when I see a familiar face walking a few meters infront of me.
It's Seokjin.
Should I say hi? I barely even know him properly....
Before i can think of what to do, he turns around and sees me and he smiles. He waves at me and I wave back.
He walks towards me. "Good morning! You're up early," he says cheerfully.
I shrug. "I am mostly a morning person. What about you?"
He grins. "Me too. I love to walk here in the mornings."
We look at each other awkwardly for a moment when finally I say, "Umm...I'm sorry for yesterday....."
He sketches a brow. "What do you mean?"
"Um...when you asked about....about my mom yesterday...."
"Oh, no it's okay. I didn't know about it. I'm really sorry," he says.
"It's okay, it wasn't your fault," I smile at him.
"Jinnie!" Exclaims a voice behind us.
Jin looks back and grins widely. A girl of my age with long pink hair and black eyes is running towards him.
"Hey sweetheart!" Says Jin hugging the girl. They look so sweet together! But right now I feel like a third wheel.
"Chaeyoung, this is Sojin, Park Sojin, my girlfriend," he tells me and I smile at the girl who frowns a bit but then smiles back. "Sojin, this is Chaeyoung, Jeon Chaeyoung. She just moved here yesterday."
She offers me her hand and says, "It's nice to meet you, Chaeyoung," she says. I shake her hand and smile back. "Likewise."
But in the back of my head, I feel as if I know her, from a past event, but I don't know when or where. I definitely haven't seen her before, but she seems a little familiar......
"Hello?? Earth to Chaeyoung!!" Exclaims Jin, snapping his fingers infront of my face. I blink.
"Oh....uh.....sorry...." I mutter.
He laughs and smiles at me and from the corner of my eye I see Sojin looking uncomfortable so I excuse myself saying, "Well I better go now....so you two can spend time with each other," I smile at them and I walk away. I go and sit on the bench near the path. Why did that girl, Sojin, seem familiar to me? I don't remember ever meeting her.....
Deep in thought, I didn't notice as someone was standing in front of me. It's Sojin. What's she doing here? I thought she was with Seokjin.
"Oh hi again," I say awkwardly. "Hey," she says. "Look I need to ask you something."
"Umm..... sure, go ahead," I reply nervously.
She sits down next to me and says, "Do you...do you remember me?" She asks me.
Why is she asking me this? Do I really know her in some way? Have we met before?
"I...I don't think so....though I have this feeling in me that I know you, even though I think I don't," I reply. "Why are you asking me this? Do we know each other?" I ask her.
"Oh...err....no, it's just that I also thought that I have seen you somewhere before...but I don't think we have," she says. I nod. "I hope we can be friends," she smiles at me.
"Yeah, sure!" I say brightly.
"So do you have any siblings?" She asks me. I roll my eyes and lightly laugh. "Yes, I have a twin sister named Sun-hee and a little brother Jungkook. He's fifteen," I tell her. "What about you?" I ask.
"I'm am only child," she says. "Ah....should I be sad or happy?" I jokingly ask her and she laughs. "Idk..." She shrugs.
We just talk about random stuff until my phone tings.
SUN-HEE:
Where the heck are you it's 12 PM,
me and Kookie are starving.
ME:
Oh my god I'm so sorry I got
caught up talking with Sojin 🤦
SUN-HEE:
Who's Sojin?
ME:
Jin's GFSUN-HEE:
Oh okay but just hurry up.
ME:
K I'm coming
I bid my goodbye to Sojin and walk back home.

Tomorrow's the first day of school.
After I arrived home and we had breakfast; Sun-hee, Jungkook and I decided to pack our stuff for school.
We decided to go to the mall since Sun-hee had to buy clothes for herself, Jungkook wanted some school supplies and I had to get some books for research and a bit of light reading.
At the mall, Sun-hee begs me to buy myself some new clothes too since we will have prom at the end of the year but to be honest, I am not that kind of girl who stresses about what to wear on the first day of school; but since she was biting my head, I told her that I would and I went to the store to get myself some stuff.
After that, I go to the bookstore and search for my books.
I find a book that interests me and I decide to read a bit of it but instead I get caught up and keep on reading since the book was so good. I may have sat there for the rest of the day but I heard a voice behind me, startling me.
"Chaeyoung!" Exclaims Jin, walking towards me holding a few books. I smile at him and gesture him to sit down next to me.
"Such a coincidence....we meet each other wherever we go," chuckles Jin and I laugh softly.
"What are you reading?" He takes a peek at my book and says, "Ah....I see you like Science fiction," he says in an impressed tone.
"Yes, I want to be a scientist someday," I reply.
Jin grins at me. "That's so cool. Most of the girls in Korea want to be actresses or singers. You have a really creative mind, I must say. I do hope you'll achieve your dream," he says warmly and I give him my eye smile.
The smile that I would give noone, the smile I would only give to James......
Jin scowls and snaps his fingers. "Why do you get so caught up in your thoughts?" He questions me.
"Uh...I-umm....," I think of an excuse.
"It's because of my handsome face, isn't it?" He says smirking and guesturing to his face. I laugh at him and punch him playfully. "No, pabo! I was just....thinking of something," I shrug while laughing.
We both are laughing now. It has been a long time since I laughed. A long time since someone made my heart flutter like that. What is happening with me? Am I finally able to escape from my horros of the past?
Jin looks at his watch and asks me, "I'm hungry, you want to get lunch?"
I nod my head. "You go to the food court, I'll be right there I just need to pay for this book," I reply and he walks away. I go to the counter and I pay for my book. Then I make my way to the food court.
Jin is sitting there talking to a waiter. He looks like a gentleman. Wait.... Chaeyoung! What the heck are you thinking?!
I mentally slap myself and make my way to the table and I sit down. We order our food and talk about random stuff and school. I find out that he also attends the same school as me. Well that's a relief. At least I'll have someone with me who knows me.
We have our lunch and Jin says good bye as he has to go and visit Sojin. I text Jungkook and ask him if he and Sun-hee are done with their shopping and he replies Yes. We meet at the exit and drive back home.
