His snickering face welcomed her and their bodies soon reached the closeness to the point that the laces on her dress slightly brushed against his suit. Her chest kept going up and down the entire time, she almost was close to blacking out, but that didn't stop her from making things clear between them.
Why are you here Seongwu-ssi?
His porcelain face soon wore a frown and he didn't blink less than three times under two seconds before giving the lady his answer.
I just wanted to ... make sure i-if you were alright. I was-
That's not what I meant. Why here? In this restaurant? You know that lady you came with?
Oh her? Yeah, I joined your hospital recently. I work as a Manager in the HR department. And since she's the head of our hospital, I was invited by her, just to get myself acquainted with few of the doctors.
Her baffled looks made him think he was short on the explanation.
Di-did you not get the HR reference?
Human Resources, I know.
Her answer was as quick as a bullet, making him release one of his cutest giggles, thanks to which her puzzled face returned to its pinkish red hue.
She somehow felt relieved after earning that information from her, it somehow put her heart at ease and made her feel less guilty. Although there was another question running at the back of her head.
Why did you come here then? You said you wanted to make sure if I was alright.
Seongwu's lips pressed against each other into a thin line and his head went up and down as in a little kid's nod.
Why?
The Lacey dress of hers which only brushed his suit slightly was now almost touching it as he pulled himself closer to her and bent down to align their eyes. Her gulp down her throat and a thin line of sweat dripping from the corner of her temples made him tease her a bit more.
I was worried.
She couldn't believe her ears. At first, a dimple appeared on her cheek with a tiny elevation of her lips, which she soon hid under her monotonous stoic expression. She knew she couldn't enjoy this news. Especially not when she was still under the wings of her fiancé.
You know I'm engaged, don't you? I've my boyfriend out there-
Hyena soon covered her mouth when she realized that she was no more speaking to herself and when Seongwu's widened eyes didn't look so good to her. But that man didn't know what stopping was. He was the type of guy who would even come in first place for teasing.
He pulled himself further close to her, to the point of stroking her head with his, not minding any sense of personal space and finally spoke in the most captivating voice, sending chills down her spine.
My turn for questions now.
Seongwu might even hear her heart beat if he kept that thing going for another minute.
You know I won the staring game we had back at the table. Where's my treat?

Hyena couldn't believe that her voice went a key above and why exactly she was fighting over something trivial like a little kid. She realized too late that she admitted taking note of their little games. She couldn't even deny it anymore, since the truth was out. And she knew that Seongwu was no fool to take no hints. This was the best time to end it all up for her. Since they were both aware of the situation they were in at the moment.
She rose her chin to look him in the eye, but a sudden flash of all the dreams she'd been having so far, flashed across her eyes like a Polaroid.
And before she could even utter a single word, Seongwu gently laid his lean fingers on her back and dropped them down to her waist, pulling her closer to his torso.
She wasn't sure why she closed her eyes, but to Seongwu, it meant only one thing.
His velvety lips gently brushed hers but he soon enough pulled away from her face. She didn't want to stop there, she wanted to ask for more, but his playful and mischievous smirk reminded her that they should be getting back to their table.
And once they did, no one spoke a thing. Not Yohan, not even his boss. The meals were soon done with and the parting was only left.
Yohan grabbed his fiancée's waist by his side and made a final bow to bid the guests.
