After a tiring "meet and greet" with the relatives and the rest of the clan, I needed to be away from the crowd for a while.

I went to the theatre hall. I know it's empty for now because all rehearsals and performances were postponed due to the clan photoshoot.

I went up the stage and sat by the piano. I smiled. I used to love playing the piano. Heck, I would even want to play it now.

But I couldn't bring myself to even touch it because it only reminds me of something painful...

Matt! Are you okay there?

Markus

He's fine, Marge. I'm sure he just needs his alone time.

Melissa

He's being a baby again! I had to walk this far for this kid. This better be worth it, Matt!

Madeleine

Don't be like that Mel! I'm sure Matt's having a hard time because of Momma C 😞

As my siblings enter the theatre, their bickering noises filled the silent hall, making it alive. It's like a melody to my ears.

The five of us may bully each other most of the time, but I always feel safe when they're around. Ironic, isn't it?

Markus may be the chill brother but he will throw you a punch if you mess with us.

Mel may sound bratty but she's the realest sister you can get. Truth hurts, but it's better to be slapped by it, she always say.

Marge and Maddie are the sweetest ones. Marge will drop everything just to be there for you while Maddie will give you the warmest hug ever.

I'm so lucky to have them by my side. They're the only reason why I'm glad I'm an Egan. Because of them, I still wanted to become an Egan.
