Miss Hyena?

A lady spoke as she made her way towards the girl who despite the loud noise calling her name, just chose to stare at the windows which in no way were even peculiar.

After a series of calling out her name, the young woman blinked twice as if she just had gotten out of a trance, and responded with a faint voice.

Are you alright Miss Hyena? This is the third time you're being fazed. Is there some-

The woman stood up from her place and grabbed her bag filled with books and her laptop. She nodded as a sign of reassuring the lady that she was perfectly alright and left without a word.

The outside of the building welcomed her with faint drizzles of rain and she  continued walking towards the bus stop. As she got into the bus, she tsked at her earlier action and wondered why exactly she lacked concentration on her work back in the office. She laughed it away anyways and as the bus halted, she grabbed her bag and got out of it.

She lived in a pretty decent apartment, a mammoth like flat way big enough for just a person. She was against living there, but she couldn't reject her boyfriend's gift after all.

As soon as she got into the elevator, she hit the close button and took a few steps away from the door, waiting for it to close .... But a pair of hands stopped it from happening and soon enough she shared that space with a young man. It was hard for her to see his face. Although it was clear that he was a new face in the apartment.

The man then slowly turned to her with a bright smile and bowed, and she ended up returning the same gesture.

The doors of the elevator slid open at third floor and the anxious man again turned back to only find the lady standing there staring deeply at him. He at once cleared his throat and asked her in his finest masculine voice

Is this perhaps your floor?

For the fourth time that day, she blinked again and got off the lift, not forgetting to capture his face once again in her mind. As if she wanted that image to stay there at the back of her head until she familiarised herself with all his little details. She felt ashamed for a second. She had a boyfriend. A renowned doctor that girls were dying to get their hands on. She shook her head as in some sort of a disgust and traipsed her way back to her flat. With a sudden brisk movement, she found herself back at the elevator in less than a second.

So fourth floor it is.
