With a brisk movement, Hyena got on her toes as she said his name out loud.
She wanted to believe that her mind was playing tricks on her. She blamed her curiosity and her emotional status for the acts that she was doing then. That way, she would feel less guilty.
In less than a second, she was out of her house, staring at the elevator sceptically. With one foot drawing her body towards her house and the other towards the elevator, she called for the elevator and let out a sigh.
As the doors opened, she hopped in and pressed 4. And as the doors opened, with her pounding heart, she smacked her head and shut her eyes tight. She almost traipsed her way out of the elevator and took one glance around her. The corridor was obviously going to be similar to hers, since it was the same building. Two flats per floor.
Which one?
She wondered out loud, tapping her fingers gently on her chin as if she was inspecting some crime scene.
She dropped her head low, probably feeling ashamed and headed towards the elevator thinking how childish and lame she was being.
As the doors opened, she was met with the same pair of eyes she'd been wanting to meet ever since they drifted apart the same morning.
She knew she'd end up with an arrhythmia if her heart kept beating the way it did for the next couple of minutes. His smiley eyes and endearing smile sent shivers down her spine. She didn't like this feeling but she wanted to keep feeling it while it lasted.
Hyena-ssi? What're you doing here?
Seongwu asked as he stepped out of the elevator and walked closer to where she was.
She knew it was best for her to come clean. But her brain was a mess. There was an internal war of conflicts raging on in her head. She wanted to fake it all and tell him that her friend lived on the same floor and so she thought that maybe she could go see her, but at the same time, she was dying to let him know all those things she was going through because of him. Things, even she wasn't sure of.
And being her true self, she thought it best to come clean.

P.s My (non-kpop) friend was legit laughing while reading my story. Hyena's name cracked her up. Cause she read it the way you read the animal hyena's name ... Should I change it? Cause I'm having after thoughts after she pointed it out, although I think the name's pretty beautiful.
