Sunghoon's POV
As soon as we arrived, we took our seats in a private room while our manager is placing our orders. On our way, Heeseung stayed quiet, looking so sad.
Hmmm. Do you think we forgot his birthday, too? Of course, not. Yes, Engene, I'm talking to you. Annyeonghaseyo, Enhypen Sunghoon imnida.
The reason why we prepared this dinner is to celebrate Hee's birthday. A double celebratory.
[Yesterday]
"Hyungs! Hyungs!" Niki called us all. We knew what he's gonna say next.
"It's Hee's birthday tomorrow!" We all said in sync.
"So here's the plan. The staffs will tell us that we'll have a dinner after the showcase, but promise me that throughout the day, don't ever ever ever great Heeseungie hyung. We just need to act like we forgot. Uhmm, Sunoo hyung, what are we gonna do again?" Niki asked Sunoo, confused. Sunoo came forward scratching his head.
"So, the surprise will be after the dinner. Some of us will excuse ourselves to take the cake and balloons, and of course the gifts. I'll just ask my sister to prepare them in the car before we take it to him. Sunghoonie and Jake hyungs, you two on the cake. Niki and I will be on the balloons. Jungwonie will say a speech. And uhm Jay hyung? Uhm what else?" He seemed to forgot to assign Jay something.
"Don't I have something to do? Then, I'm just gonna be the mood maker!" Jay said sarcastically.
"Okay then, all set!"
[End of flashback]
We are almost done eating. Except Hee, all of us kept looking at each other as we noticed Hee, eating his foods sadly. Then, Eiah's phone beeped. Sunoo must have texted her already because she excused herself after that and reached her hand to Sunoo before going out. Did Sunoo give the key without the others noticing? That's remarkable.
We, started to excuse ourselves one by one, and Hee is still not noticing it, but when we got to the car, everything was a mess.
Heeseung's POV
How could they forget my birthday? It's not a big deal but a simple greeting may do, but they didn't even bother. I know the showcase is more inportant but the greeting only takes a couple of seconds!
So I decided to stay quiet throughout the drive until we ate. I don't feel like talking. We are already finished with our meal but still heard nothing from them.
They excused themselves one by one. Where are they going? Are they enjoying themselves without me now? Hmm.
I asked the manager when will we go home but he seemed to be bothered.
"We got a problem in our bill, I think I need to take care of it. Just stay here with the staffs as we deal with it. Don't go out, fans might mob you." He then walked outside. Even hyung forgot my birthday. Okay.
While waiting for them to come back, I am only scrolling on my phone, and checking our sns. Engenes are greeting me now! I'm so thankful, they remembered my day. Reading these greetings makes me want to talk to them more! Engenes are saving my day!
Time ran so fast that I didn't know I was on my phone for almost 20 minutes now. Manager hyung came back and so did the others b-but t-they -
"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Heeseungie hyung.. Happy Birthday to you!" They all sang in sync. All this time I thought they forgot. But they didn't!
"Hyungie! Why are you crying??" Sunoo came to me to hug me.
"I thought you forgot my birthday! But Thank you! I love you all!"
"Eww, cringy. But I love you, too bro!" Jay said.
Niki played with the balloon while Jungwon started to say a long speech, Jake and Sunghoon are holding the two cakes. Two? Why two? And Eiah noona? She just sat on her chair, and kept smiling, but why does it feel so sad?
After the dinner, we drove Eiah Noona to her apartment before going to our dorm. This day was tiring, but it's worth it. We debuted, and celebrated my birthday, that's why we had two cakes!
I feel very thankful to have everyone as my family, and you, of course!
Now let's rest, and I'm gonna start the day with a live tomorrow! Jalja!
