"Don't worry Mrs Youn, I'm on it."
My name is Lee Yoori. As a senior writer in one of the top entertainment magazines in Korea, meeting my deadline was one of my biggest fear. It's not easy to write a good, interesting and different stories every month. But I'm glad that my segment was one of the most like. I'm always struggling to write but I love my job.
It's half past 12 in the afternoon. I'm going out for my break. I bring out my laptop and all the necessary things inside my bag and go to the nearest cafe. I ordered my favorite caramel latte and chicken sandwiches for a take away. I'm going somewhere to eat today. Yes... Hongdae, famous for its youthful ambience, unique cafes, dance clubs, fashion outlets and busking. I always go there to relieve stress.
The atmosphere in Hongdae makes me feel calm even though the situation there is quite busy. But I really love music and I like to sing, sometimes I will join the young people who are busking there. I always do that when I want to get rid of stress and the satisfaction I feel after that was indescribable feeling.
After finished my meals, I call Mrs Youn to inform her that I'm not going back to the office again and I will just email her my works. I'm doing my final check on my stories, spelling, grammar and every details. After I satisfied, I sent my works via email to Mrs Youn.
I managed to sing a couple of songs before I went for a walk around the street looking for ideas and inspiration on what to write for my segment next month. I hope people will like what I have written in my segment this month. I just have to wait and see the feedback from readers later.
