BASIC PARTICLES (Subject)

*For the subject:

•는/은 (Topic Marker)

Use 는 if the noun ends in vowel, 은 if it ends in consonants. When used, it can be translated as "as for" or "when it comes to".

Example:
나는 공부하고 있다.
(As for me) I am studying.
*나 는

저것은 거울입니다.
(As for that thing) It's a mirror.
*저것 은


•이/ 가 (Subject Marker)

Use 이 if the noun ends in consonant, 가 if it ends in vowel.

Example:
제이크가 친절한 사람입니다.
Jake is a good person.
*제이크 가

성훈이 친절한 사람입니다.
Sunghoon is a good person.
*성훈 이
