Taemin, like Key and Jonghyun is musically talented and so much so that Taemin worked hard at his craft as a singer and dancer that he was signed up by SM Entertainment at the tender age of 12. Taemin debuted several years later at 14 with the super famous K-Pop group SuperM. Then just a few years later, after graduating from high school at 17, Taemin decided to go solo and has now been working in the music industry for over 10 years.
Taemin, with the other boys Minho and Onew became close friends with Key and Jonghyun when they all attended the same high school in Seoul. They were all in the same music class at the time and actually formed their own school band. Jonghyun and Key naturally took the lead in the group and assigned every one their role, including Taemin as the main singer! Taemin had already by now been scouted by SM Entertainment and was a trainee with them so he was very professional and extremely talented. Taemin’s vocal range was amazing and he had a very distinctive voice too.
So from high school the five were inseparable! However, as time would pass it could not stop the ever flowing wave of change in their lives, including Jonghyun leaving to attend the prestigious music, art and drama school - Juilliard. Consequently, Jonghyun and Taemin would both leave at 15 to pursue their dreams! Taemin would still be studying while working with his K-Pop group SuperM. Both so young and so extremely talented in music that they would both become worldwide famous, especially Taemin who become known and nicknamed “Superstar”!
