-지 않다 (Negative Sentence)

Add to after verb stem to say that you are 'not' <verb-ing>. There's no vowel rules, simply add. You can cojugate ending into 요 or 니다 form.

EXAMPLE:

저는 먹지 않습니다.
I am not eating.

저는 먹지 않아요.
I am not eating.

저는 먹지 않았어.
I did not eat.

저는 거짓말하지 않습니다.
I am not lying.

나는 자지 않았어.
I did not sleep.
