2026.09.03 12:29
A complete lineup of dramas scheduled to air in September 2026! Check out the plots and air dates of 7 new series starring Seo Kang-joon, Hyun Bin, and Son Ye-jin at a glance ✨
The hot and humid August is finally over 😭 You know that feeling of somehow finding peace of mind just because the numbers have changed?
I heard that there aren't that many new releases in September due to the Asian Games and the Chuseok holidays. However, when I took a closer look at the lineup, it actually felt quite substantial because new works by actors you can trust—Seo Kang-joon, Hyun Bin, and Son Ye-jin—are lined up one after another 🔥 Today, [we are discussing] what is commonly mentioned by various media outlets 7 New Dramas for September I've picked out just the essentials and organized them!
1. Made in Korea 2
Starring: Hyun Bin, Jung Woo-sung, Woo Do-hwan
Platform: Disney+ (Original, 6 episodes)
Release Date: Two episodes released every Wednesday starting September 9
Director/Screenplay: Woo Min-ho / Park Eun-kyo
It is set nine years after Season 1. With Baek Ki-tae (Hyun Bin), who has risen to the pinnacle of power, Jang Geon-young (Jung Woo-sung), who has been preparing a counterattack against him, and his younger brother Baek Ki-hyun (Woo Do-hwan), who is nurturing his desires in a way different from his older brother, joining the fray, a clash between the three men is foreshadowed. I heard it is. My expectations are growing even more because I heard that Hyun Bin won the Baeksang Arts Award for this work.
2. Another relationship besides you
Cast: Seo Kang-joon, Ahn Eun-jin, Lee Joo-an, Jo A-ram
Broadcaster: KBS2 Weekend Drama (14 episodes)
Air Date: September 12, 9:20 PM
Director/Screenplay: Hwang Seung-gi, Lee Ga-ram / Yoo Su-ji
A relatable melodrama about a couple in their 10th year of dating, Namgoong Ho (Seo Kang-joon) and Lee Mi-do (Ahn Eun-jin), who face unfamiliar excitement amidst the familiar. That is it. I heard the key point to watch is the process of them confirming their desire to feel excited for each other again, even while wavering between their respective junior colleagues and lawyers.
3. Even the Lotto first prize winner comes to work.
Cast: Lee Joon-hyuk, Seo Hyun-woo, Oh Dae-hwan
Platform/Broadcaster: TVING (Pre-release on September 10) → tvN Monday-Tuesday Drama (Starting September 14), 10 episodes
Original work: Web novel of the same name
Director/Screenplay: Yoon Young-bin
This is the story of Team Leader Gong Eun-tae (Lee Jun-hyuk), who chose to go to work with the 1.3 billion won prize money instead of resigning after winning the first prize in the lottery. An office drama about an office worker, tossed around by both above and below, who changes their attitude toward life thanks to unexpected good fortune. I think it would be nice to watch while relating to it.
4. Scandal
Starring: Son Ye-jin, Ji Chang-wook, Nana
Platform: Netflix (Original, 8 episodes)
Release Date: September 18
Director/Screenplay: Jung Ji-woo / Lee Seung-young · Ahn Hye-song
This is a remake of the movie *Scandal: A Tale of Two Lovers in Joseon*, based on the novel *Dangerous Liaisons*, released about 20 years later. A cheeky and dangerous love bet involving Mrs. Jo (Son Ye-jin), Jo Won (Ji Chang-wook), and Hee Yeon (Nana) I am drawing it, and since it is scheduled to be released with a rating of R, a mature plot development is expected.
5. Fly Up, Butterfly
Starring: Kim Hyang-gi, Choi Daniel, Oh Yoon-ah
Broadcaster: JTBC Weekend Drama (16 episodes)
Air Date: September 19, 10:40 PM
Director/Screenplay: Kim Da-ye / Park Yeon-seon
The first Korean drama set in a hair salon, depicting the growth of hair designers and interns. It is. I would recommend it to those looking for a heartwarming human drama amidst the September programming schedule, which is full of crime and romance shows.
6. Dive into You
Cast: Kim Ji-yeon, Park Seo-ham, Jang Se-hyeok
Broadcaster/Streaming: Channel A Saturdays & Sundays (Disney+, 12 episodes)
Air date: September 26
Director/Screenplay: So Jae-hyun / Kim Bo-geum
A fantasy romance about twin siblings who discover they can travel back in time with an old camcorder to revive their first love, Jung Woo-jae. It is. The fact that it is a Korea-US-Japan joint project also catches the eye.
7. Mom is crazy
Cast: Jung Min-ah, Dong Ha, Kim Hee-jung
Broadcaster: KBS1 Daily Drama (120 episodes)
Air Date: September 28, 8:30 PM
Director/Screenplay: Sung Jun-hae / Na Seung-hyun
A family coming-of-age story that unfolds as the children of two mothers—one who lived only for her family and the other for herself—become entangled. It is. I think it would be a good fit for those looking for a show they can watch consistently for a long time, typical of daily dramas.
