Dating Rumors Between Ive Ray and Rapper PH-1? Controversy Over 15-Year Age Gap and Social Media Likes and Comments
2026.09.03 12:19
The social media friendship between Ive Ray and rapper pH-1 is becoming a hot topic. We will summarize the controversy surrounding the dating rumors between Ray and pH-1 right now, which has even brought up their 15-year age difference and new song lyrics.
I’ve brought you one of the hottest topics among idol fandoms these days 👀 It is... Controversy over Ive Ray and rapper pH-1's social media friendship It seems opinions are completely divided between those who view it as just casual friendship and those who think something is amiss. The controversy has escalated further with the mention of the 15-year age difference, so I imagine many of you are curious. Let's break it down point by point, starting now ✨
1. It all started with Instagram likes and comments.
The controversy started more modestly than expected. pH-1 was spotted liking every one of Lay's Instagram posts faster than the fans and often even leaving comments. That's how it happened. Since this pattern has been repeating since last year, I heard that some fans have started asking, "Why do they react so quickly only to Lay's posts?" 😅
2. On August 7th, there was a decisive post.
Then, last time On August 7, Lay uploaded several photos with the caption "No caption needed" and a purple heart emoji. Coincidentally, the background music (BGM) for this post was pH-1's song '<3U'. When pH-1 commented with three frozen face emojis, Lay responded with a purple heart emoji as well. I did.
Even pH-1 shared this post on his story and even left the caption, "Pretty girls listen to Purple Tape." 'Purple Tape' is an album released in April 2026 by pH-1's label, H1ghr Music.
3. Even the lyrics to pH-1's new song 'STUCK!' have been summoned.
If it had ended here, I would have just let it go, The lyrics of pH-1's new song 'STUCK!', released on August 13, are summoned. The atmosphere changed drastically as it happened. Among the lyrics "Send hearts everywhere / so other men can recognize them" There is a phrase that says, and some fans Connecting this to recent social media interactions, the interpretation is "Isn't this a total sniper attack?" They released that. Of course, this is strictly the fans' personal interpretation and has not been officially confirmed.
4. pH-1 Lay age difference, who are the two people?
The age difference is also a key point that cannot be overlooked in this controversy. I will summarize it briefly in a table.
| pH-1 | ray | |
| real name | Park Jun-won (Harry Park) | Naoi Rei |
| Year of birth | Born in 1989 |
Born in 2004
|
| affiliation | Higher Music |
IVE (Starship Entertainment)
|
| debut | 2016 digital single 'Wavy' | Debuted with Ibrow in 2021 |
| note | Appeared on 'Show Me the Money 777' in 2018 | I've's only Japanese member |
The age difference between the two is exactly 15 years. It is. There were quite a few reactions expressing discomfort due to this part.
5. Fans' reactions were completely divided.
"Uncomfortable" reaction
The opinion that it is burdensome to press 'like' before the fans, and consistently at that.
The reaction that it looks better after seeing the new song's lyrics
Opinions that feel aversion to the 15-year age difference itself
Reactions from the "It's an overreaction" side
Since Lay used pH-1's song as background music first, some view this as a thank-you for the promotion.
In fact, pH-1 reportedly has a history of sharing his songs on his story in the same way when another male idol used them in a post.
The reaction is that it is excessive for fans to try to control even the social media communication between singers.
6. To summarize, it's like this.
What has been released so far is All of this is merely based on circumstances on social media and fans' interpretations, and neither the agencies of Lay nor pH-1 have released an official statement. That is it. Rather than a dating rumor, I think you should view it as a stage where interpretations differ regarding whether they are just socializing or not. It looks like this will continue to be updated as further reactions or statements come out. 🔥
