At 8 a.m., Yeoju called Ho-seok and Jungkook over and chatted. The topic was "skill evaluation." It was a YJ organization tradition, perhaps? Yeoju conducted a monthly evaluation to gauge each team's skill level. The evaluation resulted in changes to the team members, which helped Yeoju devise strategies for battles. The skill evaluation took the form of a "fight" held in the largest room, the first battle room. Two teams faced off against each other according to the matchup Yeoju had drawn up. Rather than focusing on who won or lost, the focus was on how much their skills had improved.
"Tomorrow, during the S Team skill evaluation, we'll see your skills too."
"yes."
"You go out first."
Jungkook left her room after hearing her words. He stood in front of the door and listened intently into the room. He pretended not to care, but he was curious about what she would say to Hoseok. He pressed his ear to the outside of the door, then abruptly removed it when he heard the footsteps of other members of the organization. It was a cute sight to see.
"You'll help me out. Do you believe me?"
"Yes, of course. I heard you're good at it."
"Yeah, I think I picked well this time."
Hearing Yeoju's words, Hoseok and Jungkook, who had been secretly listening from outside, both smiled. Yeoju liked Jungkook and hoped he would pass the skills evaluation. And she knew he would. Moments later, Hoseok came out and gave Jungkook a subtle signal with his eyes. Jungkook noticed the signal and smiled, folding the corners of his eyes.
After Jungkook and Hoseok left the room, Yeoju was lost in thought. She closed her eyes slightly and swayed her legs. The sound of the spinning fan made Yeoju concentrate more on her thoughts. Her head was filled with thoughts about JK's true identity. Was the person she saw last time really JK?
JK is Jeon Jungkook, Jeon Jungkook is JK? Then why did he hide the fact that he is Jungkook? What exactly is his true identity?
The heroine's thoughts spiraled out of control. Eventually, her head ached and she stopped thinking. She decided to try a more certain approach.
Feeling a little pricked, she made an excuse to herself that she was going to practice and went to Training Room 4, where Team S mainly trained. Training Room 4 was specially designed by Yeoju for the teams with strong skills, and it was filled with the best weapons and equipment.
"Hello, boss."
"Yeah. Are you practicing well? You're not playing, are you?"
"no."
When Yeo-ju entered the training room, the members of the organization who had been sitting in chairs chatting suddenly stood up. They bowed their heads 90 degrees to Yeo-ju and greeted her. At Yeo-ju's words, they picked up the equipment, checked her reaction, and pretended to exercise. Yeo-ju glared at them even more. Then, they increased the speed of their movements. Seeing this, she turned her eyes to find Hoseok and Jungkook.
Yeoju looked at them practicing with their guns on one side, as if they hadn't heard her coming in, with interest. She crossed her arms and turned towards them. Then, as if she felt the gaze of the other members, they shot her a glare and put their guns away. She pretended to grip the gun and looked towards them less this time. When Hoseok tried to leave the training room for a moment, Yeoju turned to face the wall so that her face couldn't be seen. The members of the organization thought she was strange.
After Hoseok left the training room, she asked the surrounding members where he had gone. They suspected they were from Team A, a close friend of Team S. After hearing her story, the members quickly accepted her actions. They reasoned that it was understandable for her to like Hoseok.
"Do you know where JH went?"
"Oh, JH, maybe he went to the bathroom? He didn't say he was going anywhere today..."
"Okay. I'll even train."
Yeo-ju turned her gaze back to Jeong-guk. Seeing the sight of the only female member of the L-S team and Yeo-ju's closest female friend in the YJ organization—the one who pressed her body against Jeong-guk's to correct his poor posture—she felt a pang of jealousy. Honestly, Yeo-ju didn't know if it was jealousy or what it was. She was supposed to do it to teach him how to position himself, but she couldn't figure out why she suddenly felt this way...
Yeoju quickly left the training room. She walked to her room without saying a word to Hoseok, who she bumped into on the way out.
Ho-seok wondered what had happened to the boss. But his expression soon changed and he brightly entered the training room to teach Jeong-guk.
