Mom's best friend

#1

"Hey, you go quickly and wake Jimin up."

"Why are you making me do that!!"

"Aren't you going quickly?"

"This really pisses me off..."

Park Jimin. My mom's friend's son, and my friend. We've grown up together our entire lives. Even now, as college students, we still live in the same house...

"Hey, Park Jimin!! Aren't you going to wake up!?"

photo
"Um... why are you so angry so early in the morning..."

"How long are you going to stay at my house!? Just go raid the dorms!"

"That sound again..."

I found Jimin Park, who wakes up so leisurely, quite annoying. It's ridiculous that he's monopolizing my mother's love, but it's also like I'm the one living off of him, not just Jimin Park!!

I slammed the door hard and headed to the living room. It ended up costing me a ton of nagging from my mom.

"Mom, I'm your real daughter!?"

"Look at what you're doing. Are you pretty or is Jimin pretty?"

"Oh my god!!!"

photo
"Mom, how come your cooking skills keep improving? It's so delicious!?"

"As expected, there's no one else but our Jimin~"

I am just amazed to watch this.

"It's funny, really."

My appetite had completely lost, so I put down my spoon. I also felt like I needed to hurry up and get back to school.

"Why did a child who can't live without eating put down his spoon?"

"Mom, feed your own son, Park Jimin. I'm going to school."

Park Jimin looked at me with surprised eyes, but he never looked back. Are you surprised? Am I refusing food?

I quickly packed my bag and headed out, ignoring every noise I heard. I still have a blind date today, but I've been feeling unwell since morning. I hope the blind date goes well...

It was already lunchtime, after I'd ignored all contact from Park Jimin and avoided him. It wasn't like I was avoiding him, after all. I just didn't have any classes that overlapped with Park Jimin's today.

"Hey, this lady~!!"

Park Jimin, who had spotted me, came running. Seriously... I have to see you at school too... It's horrible.

"Where are you going? Ignoring all my calls."

"This older sister is busy."

"What are you talking about? Let's go eat."

"I have plans today."

"promise?"

The appointment was actually a blind date. It was a 3-on-3 blind date, but one person had an urgent appointment, so I ended up going on the blind date instead. If I went and saw someone handsome, wouldn't I at least get a chance to feast my eyes on them?

"Blind date...?"

At the mention of going on a blind date, Park Jimin's expression changed as he looked down at me. I wondered why he seemed so displeased.

"You'll get tons of confessions thanks to that face, but not me."

I can't keep Park Jimin by my side forever. Rather than hearing people ask if I'm his lover, I've decided it's better to have a real boyfriend. It also gives me a way to spend less time at home, so it's a win-win situation.

"hey..."

"Get out of the way, I have to go."

"....."

I left Park Jimin behind and headed to the blind date. I felt strangely uneasy, but that wasn't the point.

"Are you here, Yeoju?"

"Am I too late..."

When I arrived, I realized I was the last one. I arrived on time for our appointment, but I felt a little guilty.

photo
"It's okay. We just got here too."

One of the blind dates sitting across from me tells me to hurry up and sit down, saying it's not too late. But... this guy is this guy, but all three of them are really handsome.

"Shall we start by introducing ourselves?"

Despite my nervousness, the blind date went smoothly. They were not only good-looking but also had a great sense of humor.

But my phone kept ringing. I checked to see who was bothering me, and it was Park Jimin. Annoyed, I warned him not to contact me and turned off my phone.

"What's wrong? You don't look well."

"No, nothing~"

Seriously, Park Jimin is not helpful at all. Ao;

Time flew by. We exchanged numbers with people we liked and parted ways. Perhaps because we got along better than expected, we had fun going to different places without even noticing the passage of time.

As we played, it was so much fun that I wondered if this was a blind date or just hanging out with friends. Every so often, someone caught my eye, and perhaps we connected, so we exchanged numbers.

"Why does Park Jimin contact me so much?"

I was flustered by the sheer volume of calls I'd received. They were all urging me to get back to them, asking me what I was doing... Why was I causing such a fuss?

I took a taxi home. Still, I felt I had to hurry since I was getting home late without telling my mom.

As soon as I got out of the taxi, I quickly walked into the house, feeling uneasy in the strangely quiet house. What the... why is there no one...

photo
"What time is it? Come in now."

"Surprise! Why are all the lights turned off? Mom?"

"...He went out. He said he'll be home late."

"Thank goodness. I almost died."

I relaxed and went inside. Then I turned on the light and was about to go to my room to wash up when Park Jimin grabbed me and stopped me in my tracks.

"what?"

"..Do you have time for a blind date right now? Do you have time to spare?"

"Are you crazy? Why are you arguing?"

"What time is it? Are you coming in now?"

"Hey, what's your business?"

I was getting angry. I already hated the sight of him, but now that he'd suddenly started a fight, I couldn't help but get angry. Who are you to be doing this to me?

"You're funny. Are you really going to act like you're my family now?"

"Who are you to care so much!"

"Ha... Don't you think your mother will be worried?"

"You're probably worried about yourself. Why would I worry about myself?"

photo
"Hey, aren't you careful about what you say?"

"Seriously, I get so annoyed whenever you do this. Don't you know how miserable you make me?"

"what...?"

"I really hate you. I just fucking hate seeing you and my mom to death!!"

Park Jimin slapped Yeoju's cheek. Yeoju's head turned weakly. Her clenched fist trembled slightly.

"Don't say that. How could you..."

"pup."

The female protagonist glared at Park Jimin with contempt, without even wiping away her flowing tears, and then walked out.

"Ha... This isn't it..."

I looked at the front door, running my hand through my hair.

What if you leave the house in a dangerous way?
