Chapter 19. Beautiful and Wonderful

*

The day of departure drew near. The kind mother knitted warm scarves for the two children who were leaving. It was already autumn. The wind was chilly, but I was able to hold the two children in a warm embrace. The sky was high and clear, and it was such a day.

“Jungkook!”

On the morning of their departure, a flower wreath was placed at the door of their lodging. It looked like it had been made by a child, but it was truly beautiful. The female protagonist, wearing a wreath filled with pink flowers, picked up a note beneath it. Written on it was a small but bold wish for a gentle breeze. "I'm leaving too." After reading the note, she hurried to the dongsan, but it was quiet, as if the boy named Jeongguk had never existed.

“Don’t be sad. You made a choice for yourself.”

“Yeah, but I thought we could say goodbye for the last time.”

"I left first so we wouldn't have to say our final goodbyes, because this won't be the last. We'll see you again soon, Jungkook."

Jimin, wearing a blue scarf, wrapped a red one around Yeoju. He wrapped it tightly, his hands as tender as his words. The woman who came out to see the children off tried to hide her disappointment as she placed a basket in Jimin's hand.

“Thank you. I won’t forget it. This is a sandwich. Eat it if you get hungry on the way.”

"thank you."

“Ma’am... Thank you for everything!”

The woman naturally embraced the heroine who suddenly rushed to her. Jimin grabbed his basket and climbed onto the carriage. "We're really leaving." Well, rather than "leaving," it's more like the wind, which had been resting for a while, is now taking its course again. Jimin, clutching a falling leaf, quietly thought to himself, "This is a fitting blessing for ending a break."

“Goodbye! I’ll definitely come back to see you again!”

The sound of horseshoes echoed along the carriage road, as if marking a farewell. They set off again. Before they knew it, an airship rose above the dark, shadowy sky. "Just like us. We're going somewhere." Jimin slowly nodded in agreement with the female lead's sleepy voice.

“It will arrive around lunchtime tomorrow.”

“Yeah, Jimin, look at that.”

"huh?"

“Star, it’s been a while since I’ve seen you. You’re pretty.”

“There are a lot of meteors.”

The sky that night was unusually full of shooting stars. One of those falling stars was now sleeping on Jimin's shoulder. At least, that's what Jimin thought. It was a beautiful thought, one that someone in the past must have had, too.

I'm sure one of the most beautiful stars has fallen and fallen asleep on my shoulder.

At least he thought so.
