"Where am I?"Ken asked himself as an abandoned building appeared before him.
"Stell? Josh? Justin? Paulo?" Ken shouted but no one answered him.
"What's going on?"Ken asked confusedly in his mind as he walked into the building.
He recoiled when he saw his friends tied up and covered in wounds and bruises.
"Whore!"'Ken couldn't help but curse as he ran to Stell, Josh, and Paulo. He looked for Justin but couldn't find him.
"What happened to you guys? Damn! Guys, wake up!"Ken shouted and shook as he released them one by one.
But he turned around when someone called his name. A familiar voice, the one he had been looking for.
"Ken!"
Ken's eyes widened when he saw Justin, his body covered in wounds and blood, holding a gun pointed in his direction. Before he could ask a question, a loud gunshot rang out as a bullet hit Ken's chest.
"Justin...why?" Ken said weakly and lost his balance.
Ken's vision gradually became blurred.
"Ken! Hey, Key! Wake up!"
Ken immediately woke up when he heard Josh's familiar voice.
"Son of? Why did you even think of sleeping here at SB Mall? Really here on the benches? So many people are looking at you!"Stell said to him annoyed.
Ken was knocked back on the bench he was lying on.
"What was that? Was it all a dream? Damn! Thank God!" Ken said in his mind and sighed.
"How long have you been here?"That's all Ken said to Josh and Stell.
It also makes no sense if he says his dream is unrealistic. He should not let his dream be a distraction.
"We're looking for Paulo and Justin but they're not there. We can't find them. Damn those two. We still have a mission to complete and it's already five in the afternoon!"Josh said angrily.
"What? It's five o'clock already?"Ken said in surprise.
"Yes, and we haven't even been through half of SB Mall looking for you. Tsk. What should we do? It's only been two hours but we still haven't completed those two tasks!"said Stella.
"What should we do? We need to finish the tasks but I'm worried about Justin and Paulo,"Ken said to himself, confused.
"These two bastards. I hope they finished their missions before they went on a trip. But, I'm really having a bad feeling about this!"Josh thought.
"Guys...is that Justin?" Stell asked while pointing behind Josh and Ken.
The three immediately approached Justin. They frowned when they saw that Justin wasn't carrying any musical instruments and that Paulo wasn't with him yet.
"Where's Paulo? Why are you alone?"Stella asked.
"And, where are the instruments?"Ken asked.
"Wait, I thought you guys already did the busking?" Justin said, surprising the five.
"What? Paulo and I have been looking for you for a while now, huh? Of course we can't start the busking without the instruments you brought!"Josh said angrily.
"Calm yourself Josh, 'wag mong sigawan si Justin. I'm sure he has something to say." Stell calmly reprimanded Josh.
Napabuntung-hininga nalang si Josh sa sobrang inis. He knew that he acted impulsively again but what can he do? They are about to fail the mission because of this incident.
"When Paulo and I went to school, Dad called me. So I had to leave everything to Paulo. He said he would take care of it since he had a car so he could manage bringing the equipments here. I just got back from Daddy's office and I rushed here to catch up on the two missions. I thought...everything is settled,"Justin said. Worry was evident on his face.
Josh was left with a mess of hair while Stell and Ken were left holding their senses.
"Damn Paulo! You better give an explanation to all of this or else..." Josh thought furiously.
"We really need to get moving. We still need to do the karaoke and busking mission. We only have two hours. We need to do this without Paulo,"Justin said.
Without the top one, Justin had to lead the elites. This is the first time that the elites will make the mission without Paulo. They never imagined that this day would come. Paulo has been always the brain and commander of the elites. The three elites feel hesitant upon Justin being on the lead, but they have no choice as he is the second elite.
"Okay Justin. I'm all ears. What's the plan?" Stell said.
Justin didn't wait for Ken and Josh's agreements as they couldn't afford to waste no time.
"Since Stell has the widest vocal range among all of us, I am suggesting that you do the karaoke mission. Stell, you don't need to sing very well. You just need to figure out the algorithm behind that particular machine. Try and try until you get the correct tune and rhythm," Justin said.
Stell responded with a nod. He was about to walk away but Justin stopped him.
"Wait Stell. Isama mo si Josh. You need him para mamemorize nyo kaagad yung notes at algorithm ng karaoke machine. Remember, we only have less than two hours to finish the task so we need to double-time," Justin added.
"Not bad Justin. You are really the second elite," Josh thought while nodding at Justin.
"Ken and I will take care of busking at the seaside because there are a lot of people there. Since we don't have any instruments, I think we have to do acapella,"Justin said while looking at Ken.
"Sure, count me in," Ken said slowly.
"Goodluck guys. We'll go ahead. We'll go to the seaside as soon as we finish,"Josh said and signaled Stell.
Justin smiled at the positive statement of the elites. He couldn't hide the joy he felt because for the first time he was leading their mission. He is too overwhelmed, as he has been craving for this all along.
"John Paulo, I surely can replace you as simple like this," Justin thought while hiding the smirk on his face.
While Josh and Stell were on their way to the arcade, Josh remembered the incident earlier at SB Cafe. After Stell's performance, Stell was so busy talking that he forgot to tell her about what F Class student A'tin had said.
"A'tin says we're in danger, especially Justin and Paulo. But I don't see anything suspicious so far. I'm sure Paulo has a reason why he's not here now. It's not enough to create anxiety to the rest of the elites,"Josh thought.
"Josh, what do you think happened to Paulo? I mean, in the four years we've been together, he's only done this now,"said Stella.
"In fact, the one who is mostly at risk...is Justin and Paulo."
Josh immediately dismissed the words A'tin had said to him earlier.
"No, that woman is lying. It's impossible for anything to happen to Paulo and Justin. She was just fooling me so that we would fail in our mission. Is it just one of Tatang Robin's tests to distract us from the mission?"Josh thought deeply that made Stell wonder.
"Josh! Hey! I've been asking you for a while,"Stell said.
Josh came back to his senses and smiled at Stell.
"I'm sure Paulo has a valid reason. Let's just trust him," Josh's short answer.
"Right, A'tin is just a mere distraction. I should just keep it to myself and focus on accomplishing our mission," Josh thought firmly.
