Lights out

Park Chanyeol

When I arrived at the hotel, Yoora was waiting for me in the small living room of our apartment. We had planned to have dinner with our parents and take advantage of Dad's upcoming birthday to take a picture in the beautiful garden that was a hallmark of the hotel.

Everything was going so well until there was a massive power outage.

I immediately tried to turn on my cell phone's flashlight, but it was in vain; no electronic device worked.

I started to panic. My parents and Yoora had come up to our apartment 15 minutes earlier to rest after the big evening...

I... was trembling, I didn't want to look like monsters, not now that everything around me was dark.

Park had encountered the other fire hunter, Wu Yi Fan, my great rival. I'd been tracking him for months, and it was only now that he was in my territory, where I could finally eliminate him.

Park should have died before his element could ignite, all because of that meddling Phoenix. He had countless reasons why he should be annihilated; he was a hunter, he had been my boyfriend, he stole my heart, he killed my father, but most of all because he discovered that the hunter Kims were direct descendants of the monster Kims.

My father had maintained the balance between our worlds after his older brother betrayed our species and created assassins to seize power, disguising everything to eradicate our only King, Do Kyung Soo.

My traitorous uncle moved to the human world, impersonating a powerful and famous human. Because time passed more quickly in the human realm, my uncle became the great-great-great-grandfather of Minseok, Jongdae, and BaeHyo.

I entrusted Wu Yi Fan with my deepest secret, my heart, but he chose to become a monster hunter. He must pay for what he did to me.

The spotlights were brighter than usual, or maybe it just seemed that way to me since I hadn't slept preparing Nami's costume. BaeHyo really wanted to meet Park Chanyeol; after all, it was his body, not mine. There were only three songs left in the concert, but I felt suffocated.

Black spots started appearing in my vision. My hyungs noticed and quickly ordered me to sit down.

In moments like that, we had a plan. We'd switch to ballads, and they'd bring in the prop chairs. I clung to my conscience, but in the end, I couldn't hold on any longer and collapsed onto the chair.

When I woke up I found myself in the Tokyo Dome's break room; there was chaos all around us, but when I regained consciousness everything returned to normal.

Minseok Hyung said that he had absorbed the city's energy and all light had vanished; thanks to the moon covering the sky and its light filtering through the dome, they were able to evacuate everyone safely.

I had already been unconscious for several hours, according to what my hyungs told me.

I immediately wanted to go to where Park Chanyeol was; I couldn't imagine all the chaos the monsters around him would cause.

JongDae Hyung stopped me in my tracks. He forced me to rest. Kris had already taken care of everything, and Park Chanyeol had finally unleashed his element.
