๐ต๐ถ: Boynextdoor- Just for today, I love you
(This time it was requested by Kunikki!)
That winter, the heroine made a snowman.
It was a day when the first snow fell heavily.
She rolled snow with her friends, then made a snowman a little off to the side by herself.
She attached two round eyes, a carrot nose, and even wrapped a red scarf around it.
โUmโฆ what should I name you.โ
After thinking for a moment, the heroine just smiled at the snowman.
โHow about Unagiro.โ
From that day on, after school, the heroine would sometimes go visit the snowman.
Sometimes she would talk about what had happened that day, and sometimes she would just sit beside it.
โI totally bombed my test today.โ
โUgh, I had something seriously annoying happen.โ
โBut youโre not saying anything.โ
She would even laugh to herself as she talked.
Somehow, in front of the snowman, she ended up talking about everything under the sun.
And just like that, winter passed.
As the weather started to warm up, the snowman gradually got smaller.
The heroine checked on it every day, but one day she started not wanting to go.
In the end, on some rainy day,
the snowman disappeared without a trace.
Only a small puddle was left there.
The heroine stared at that spot for a long time, then went home.
Spring came.
At first, she was fine.
Even when summer came, she was fine.
But sometimes she found herself thinking of that winter when it snowed.
Especially when autumn arrived, it was even more so.
One day, while tidying up her room, she found a red scarf.
It was the scarf she had wrapped around the snowman last year.
The heroine stared at the scarf for a moment, then put it back in the drawer.
โItโs already been a year.โ
And as time passed, winter came again.
When the first snow fell, the heroine started rolling snow just like last year.
She built the body, set the head on top, and added the eyes and nose.
Last, she wrapped the red scarf around it.
Looking at the finished snowman, the heroine snorted a laugh.
โItโs exactly the same as last year.โ

That was when it happened.
She noticed a small dent below the snowmanโs left eye.
The heroine froze.
That mark.
It was a trace left last year when she accidentally pressed her finger into the snowman while making it.
The heroine stared at the snowman for a long time.
โโฆโฆWhat.โ
It could have been a coincidence.
It could have just been the same trace appearing in the same place.
But for no reason, the heroine found herself thinking about last year.
After a moment, the heroine straightened the snowmanโs scarf once and got to her feet.
โIโm going.โ
After walking a few steps, she looked back again.
The snowman was still there.
The heroine smiled briefly, then headed home again.
This winter,
the snow fell a little longer than last year.
