BTS short story collection

After the breakup, another love came along - 1

With urgent and important work overlapping, I practically lived at the office for two weeks. Also, I hadn't seen Taehyung in two weeks, so all I wanted to do was get home and see him. Yuna and Jungkook said they thought Taehyung was cheating, but I don't believe anything unless I see it with my own eyes. Anyway, I got off the elevator, exhausted. A long hallway greeted me for the first time in ages. As I walked to my house and tried to unlock the door...

“What are you going to do when Yeoju comes like this~”

“I’m busy these days anyways.. It’s okay.. It’s okay~ I have to file divorce papers anyways...”

Im Na-yeon's voice, which I thought shouldn't be heard in our house, and the word "divorce papers," though I couldn't quite hear it, came into my ear. My hands were shaking like crazy. I felt like if I signed those divorce papers, they'd be ready to get married right away.

‘Tiring-‘

I decided to pretend I knew nothing as best as I could before I went inside. I opened the door and went inside. Inside, I found the two of them sitting on the living room sofa with puzzled expressions on their faces.

“...”

I couldn't say anything. I was so angry.

“Uh… Sister…! What you’re thinking right now is…”

“Since when did I start asking you to call me ‘sister’?”

I interrupted, not wanting to hear Im Na-yeon's voice. Then Tae-hyung ran a hand through his hair, seemingly annoyed.

“Wow.. I’m really sick of how they keep differentiating between public and private sectors even outside of the company.”

Taehyung's words were like arrows and pierced my heart.

“What is that..”

“Sign here.”

Taehyung threw an envelope. It wasn't intentional, but it hit my face and fell to the floor. I slowly raised my head to look at Kim Taehyung. He was hiding Im Nayeon behind him, staring at me as if he was going to kill me. I wondered what I had done wrong to deserve this.

“Why me?”

It was Kim Taehyung who was at fault, but why should I be treated like this? I didn't want to lose.

“I want a divorce, and even though I beg for it, it’s not enough. You throw an envelope in my face and ask me to sign it? Who would think I cheated on you?”

“Sister.. Do you know that doing this looks like a bother?”

It felt like Im Na-yeon had really hit the back of my head.

“Are you being picky? Who is that person who looks picky!”

When I spoke in a slightly raised voice, it was Im Na-yeon who was trembling as if she was scared, and it was Kim Tae-hyung who was hugging Im Na-yeon and glaring at me.
I was scared. It was the first time I saw Kim Taehyung with that kind of expression.
I bent down and picked up the envelope. I opened it and, sure enough, checked its contents. It was divorce papers.

“I’ll think about it. I don’t know how many days, months, or years it might take.”

It was a word that told me to go up.

“I think it’s right for you to leave the house because you’re cheating.”

This statement is the same. I knew I'd be the one to leave anyway.

"you are me..."

“Ahh~ You guys don’t have any close friends to live with! Then I, the ‘good’ one, will leave.”

I interrupted Kim Taehyung and said, "I hope you're angry. Not as angry as I am, but I hope you're angry anyway."

“Hey..!!!”

I entered the room. There was no need to continue the conversation. From the living room, I could hear Kim Taehyung's voice cursing me, and Im Nayeon's voice playing the janggu (Korean drum) next to me.
I took out my carrier and packed my underwear, clothes, bag, hat, and more. After packing everything, I was left wondering where I would be staying for the time being.

"under.."

I sighed. I collapsed on the bed and picked up my phone. I thought I had a lot of friends, but there was no one I could call.

‘Woooooo...woooooo...’

At that moment, Yuna received a call.

"hello?"

“Sister!”

I started to feel uneasy at Yuna's urgent speech.

“What’s going on..?”

“What happened to your sister’s husband…?”

“Ah.. I was so nervous for no reason~”

“So what happened!!??”

“I received the divorce papers.”

The call seemed to be cut off at my words and nothing was heard.

“Where are you going to live now, sister?”

“I don’t know either~”

“I want to ask you to live with me, but I live with my parents..”

“I know, I know~”

I was so grateful to Yuna for worrying about me. Just being worried about me brought tears to my eyes.

“Sister, then let’s meet up first and then call right away?”

“Call~”

“Then let’s meet at @@ pocha~”

"okay."

Anyway, I finished my work, and tomorrow was Saturday. I didn't mind drinking. I took off my suit, put it in my carry-on, and put on the hoodie and jeans I'd left out. I tied my hair up tightly. After a quick glance in the mirror, I grabbed my carry-on and bag, and left the room.

“...”

As he left the room, what he saw was Im Na-yeon sleeping with her head on Kim Tae-hyung's lap, and Kim Tae-hyung stroking Im Na-yeon's head and looking at her lovingly.

‘Drrrrrrr- drrrrr-‘

As I walked forward, dragging my suitcase, Kim Taehyung looked at me. His expression seemed to suggest he hadn't realized I was leaving today. As I turned my head and started to walk toward the front door, he spoke to me.

“What? Are you going out today?”

“...”

“Did you find a friend to put you to bed? Oh, are you thinking of living with Jeon Jungkook? Are you thinking of moving your body?
