K-pop. South Korean pop music is taking the world by storm. The boy group Shield is at the center of this trend. True to their name, they're beloved for their determination to confront reality head-on and bravely fight back. However, Shield had one problem: their leader, Jeon Jungkook, who was widely known as the craziest idol. Just how crazy was he?

At the MC's words to greet the viewers,

"Everyone knows he's a broken man, so why bother greeting him?"

But if you really have to do it,

"I can't do it. I don't know how to be pretentious."

Whether live or not, when he feels uncomfortable, his expression hardens and he spits out vulgar language. In short, he has no regard for what others think.

Despite this, the reason Jeon Jungkook, the idol's representative crazy guy, is so popular is because he possesses captivating good looks, a flawless physique, and a unique vocal tone. The biggest reason is that he is completely devoted to his main job. While there have been many idols who can fly on stage, very few can dominate it like Jeon Jungkook.

But no matter how dedicated he was to his profession, there were still a lot of negative rumors about his personality, but Jeon Jungkook wasn't affected by such gossip at all. It didn't matter what they said.

Growing up in an unstable home, Jeon Jungkook learned by sight and hearing, so he never knew how to express himself positively. While he had a warm heart, he never expressed it out loud. Even when he tried to be kind, his emotions were awkward, and the words that came out of his mouth often felt out of sync with his feelings, leaving him feeling hurt.

To clear his mind, Jeon Jungkook danced. He's currently promoting solo, and since there's a couples dance, he needed to hire a female dancer. His manager went all out to find a dancer who would please the crazy and picky Jeon Jungkook.

If you don't like it even a little bit,

"Where did you find someone like this, calling yourself a dancer?" He had to be extra careful when choosing, because he was sure to be abusive. Plus, since he had to be the partner of the craziest idol, he desperately needed someone who could handle Jungkook's tantrums. If he even quit midway, saying he couldn't handle being Jungkook's partner, it would be a disaster.

After asking around here and there, he finally succeeds in finding a female dancer who is suitable for Jeong-guk's partner.

"Hello! My name is Song Yeo-ju! Please take care of me!"

Song Yeo-ju, fearlessly and warmly holding Jeon Jung-kook's hand, which no one had ever held before, with both of her own. Jung-kook, who had vaguely tried to brush off the strange, inexplicable emotion, pulled his hand free and immersed himself in dance practice.

The female lead, who had been staring at Jungkook's dancing with sparkling eyes for a long time, began to dance along. She was so impressed by his skillful performance that she copied every delicate detail without missing a beat. Jungkook couldn't hide his surprise at seeing her like this.

"You have a keen eye. To be able to follow along so accurately in one go."

"Oh, no! It's actually because each and every one of Jungkook's movements were so clear that I was able to catch them well. And I have such a strong love for dancing."

"How long have you been a dancer?"

"It's been a little over a year."

"You have such a strong love for dancing, why did you start so late?"

Manners? Jeon Jungkook, who'd never give a damn about such things, was being as polite as possible to Song Yeo-ju, whom he'd only known for an hour. And for someone who had zero interest in other people's business, he was asking questions out of sheer curiosity. If fans saw this, they'd probably grab the back of their necks and squirm.

"I've loved dancing since I was little, and I dreamed of becoming an idol, but my parents were so against it that I gave up. But I couldn't give up on dancing, so I kept dancing secretly until I finally convinced them and finally got their permission."

Young Jungkook, longing for the attention and love of his parents, who had shown no interest in him, began to dream of becoming a celebrity. He thought that if he became a famous person on TV, his parents would also look up to him. So he started singing and dancing along to any song he could find. Through hard work and perseverance, he achieved the fame he so desperately wanted, but despite this, his parents remained uninterested. The work he had started to achieve happiness didn't bring him any happiness.

It was nice to see a female protagonist, on the other hand, happy doing what she truly loved. He was unconsciously drawn to Song Yeo-ju's appearance. It was probably from this point on that a rainbow began to faintly appear in Jeon Jung-guk's darkened heart.

The chemistry between Jeon Jung-kook and Song Yeo-ju was better than expected. Any shortcomings were immediately addressed, and even minor mistakes were laughed off.

When a member makes a choreography mistake, he gets angry and asks if they are not paying attention, and when a dancer makes a slight mistake, he would kick them out of the choreography team. Jeon Jungkook, who was always pursuing perfection, started to move on and tell them to focus after meeting Song Yeo-ju.

"Jungkook seems like someone who can't tolerate mistakes."

"Mistakes are like a collapse to me."

"Of course, that could be true, but no one is perfect from the start. Just as monkeys can fall from trees, I hope you don't view mistakes so negatively. When I make a mistake, I always learn from it."

"I guess I should do that from now on."

One day during practice, Son Yeo-ju arrived with both hands full of strawberry smoothies and handed one of the three to Jeon Jung-kook. (One for the manager.) She had asked the manager to buy one for Jung-kook, worried that he always drank coffee. Jeon Jung-kook, holding the strawberry smoothie in his hand, made a bewildered expression. Strawberry smoothies were the only thing he would drink when he was feeling good, very rarely.

"You always drink coffee, so I was worried, so I bought you a strawberry smoothie. I don't usually nag, but I felt like I had to. I'll bring you something to drink from now on."

"You don't have to do that"

"I do it because I want to. I'm just going to pack my own drinks and stuff, you know."

Song Yeo-ju's refreshing personality didn't end there. She approached a male producer at a broadcasting station who was gossiping about Jeon Jung-guk and gave him a proper rebuke.

"I'm sorry, but I hope you don't say things like that when you don't even know Jeon Jungkook well."

"What, what did you say? Are you done talking?!"

"I haven't finished speaking yet. If you don't want to make yourself look like a loser, spend your time gossiping about others and focusing on self-improvement. I thought you were married. You should be ashamed of yourself in front of your child."

Jeongguk, who happened to see that scene, realized only then that what he had been feeling for Yeoju wasn't ordinary. By this time, a seven-colored rainbow had become vivid in Jeongguk's already darkened mind.

The comeback day arrived after a long, if short, time. Jeon Jungkook arrived at the music show venue and immediately greeted each and every staff member. It was a truly bizarre sight, the idol's most bizarre representative, greeting everyone.

"Congratulations to Jeon Jungkook for topping the music show charts for the second week of August 2022 with Doom."

"Please tell me your thoughts."

Jeon Jungkook, who achieved a new history in K-pop by achieving first place during his promotional period, made a surprising statement in his final remarks.

photo

"While promoting this solo album, I've realized things I'd never thought of before. Although it's a little late, I want to thank all the fans who support our group, Shield. And I want to express my sincere gratitude to my partner dancer who has been the biggest help in this promotion. I will continue to show you my improvement in the future. Thank you."

Having completed his solo activities without any problems for a week, Jungkook felt lonely for the first time. This was because now that his solo activities were over, he would no longer be able to see Yeoju.

Jeongguk, his resolve firm, gently tugged on Yeoju's sleeve as she chatted with the staff. Yeoju, sensing that Jeongguk seemed to have something to say, led him to the deserted emergency exit.

"Do you have something you want to say to me?"

"Uh... that's... now... we won't be able to see each other... that's why..."

"Ha, I'm so frustrated."

"........."

"I like you, Jungkook. Do you feel the same way as me, Jungkook?"

photo

"Yeah. I feel the same way."

The sight of them holding each other's hands and smiling was like a rainbow in Jeongguk's heart, with seven colors.
