“Why, did you feel pity for Park Jimin because he seemed like a kid who desperately wanted to be loved like you?”
The dry air hung heavy in Jeong Su-yeon's deep silence. Taehyung seemed to have hit the nail on the head. "A girl desperate to be loved." At those words, all circuits in Jeong Su-yeon's brain shut down. Her face, which had always been so relaxed, always smiling and enjoying putting others in the palm of her hand and playing with them, began to distort. Taehyung found it quite a sight. How refreshing it must have been to see the girl he had so repelled show her restlessness for the first time.
That was the moment. Hoseok, who had been organizing his belongings in the warehouse, came out and saw Taehyung roughly grabbing Jeongsuyeon by the collar. Hoseok, who had no idea what was happening, was shocked and approached Taehyung angrily, asking what he was doing and whether he could not let go of her hand.
Taehyung couldn't help but be surprised when Hoseok, who always smiled warmly and affectionately no matter what happened, lost his temper. After all, the Jung Hoseok Taehyung knew was always a warm, older brother-like person. Even at this moment, Taehyung felt like it was all Jung Soo-yeon's fault. Jung Soo-yeon had been nagging him for no reason, and because of that, he had grabbed Jung Soo-yeon by the collar, and Hoseok was getting angry when he saw that... Jung Soo-yeon could tell right away that Taehyung was blaming her just by looking at his expression. Taehyung's eyes directed at Jung Soo-yeon were blatantly resentful. Jung Soo-yeon whispered in Taehyung's ear so quietly that Hoseok couldn't hear.
“Why, do you think this situation is my fault?”
Where was the restless look from before? Now, Taehyung is taking advantage of the gap and leisurely stirring things up.
Ho-seok didn't know what Jeong Su-yeon and Tae-hyung were talking about, but he felt like he had to stop Tae-hyung from grabbing Jeong Su-yeon by the collar, so he spoke with a louder voice than before.
“Kim Taehyung, let go of that hand!!”
Taehyung had never heard Hoseok raise his voice like that before. The person who always smiled kindly was now raising his voice and taking the side of his enemy. Taehyung was so displeased and disgusted by this situation that he thought he was going crazy. But he felt that if he didn't let go of Jung Sooyeon's collar right now, his relationship with Hoseok would become even more strained, so he roughly threw her to the ground. Because of that, Jung Sooyeon lost her balance and fell to the floor, hitting the table next to her. It was then. As soon as Jung Sooyeon hit the table, the ripples were transmitted to the strawberry juice that Taehyung had just given Jimin, but Jimin hadn't taken a sip. The strawberry juice soaked the floor, and the glass containing the juice shattered on impact with the floor.
It all happened in an instant, before Jung Soo-yeon fell to the floor. Jung Soo-yeon stumbled, her hands splayed across the shards of glass. As a result, her palms were covered in shards, and her knees were also bruised by the shards. Silence fell in the cafe for a moment. Blood was oozing from small and rather large wounds on Jung Soo-yeon's palms and knees. Tae-hyung's whole body froze as soon as he saw the blood. He thought to himself, "If only I hadn't been overcome by such anger, this wouldn't have happened." No matter how much he hated Jung Soo-yeon, no matter how disgusting she was, he didn't want this to happen. No matter how much he hated her, she wasn't the kind of enemy he wanted to see blood. It wasn't to that extent.
Taehyung tried to move his stiff body and approached Jung Sooyeon. However, Hoseok approached Jung Sooyeon first and asked if she was okay. After checking on her condition, he told Taehyung to go.
“I, but still…”
“I told you to leave, Kim Taehyung.”
Hoseok's expression and tone of voice had grown colder. Taehyung felt as if the air around him had also become cold, and a chill ran through his body. Taehyung lowered his head and answered that he understood, then packed his bags and left the cafe. Before leaving, Taehyung almost muttered an apology to Jung Sooyeon. He spoke in a voice that could only be heard if he was right next to her. So Jung Sooyeon obviously didn't hear his apology, and in the end, Taehyung's guilt and regret didn't reach her.
