The female protagonist pushed Jungkook away. Jungkook, surprisingly, was pushed back obediently. Jungkook stared at her absentmindedly. For some reason, she felt goosebumps. He truly seemed emotionless. Sometimes, he seemed like a demon.

“...”

After some time, the silence was broken by Jeongguk. He poured out his secrets, which had been so curious and secretive, to Yeoju. Yeoju silently pressed Jeongguk's voice into her mind.

…I feel a strange emotion when I see you. What on earth is this? Every day I'm with you, I learn new emotions. And now, I'm desperately wanting to hug you.”

Yeoju realized it all at once. Jungkook was just awkward with his emotions. It wasn't that he disliked me, he was just a little clumsy. She held back tears and hugged Jungkook. "It's okay to hug me as much as you want. I'm sorry I misunderstood."

“Why are you sorry?”

"just…I’m sorry for everything. I’m sorry.”

And the heroine could tell. Jungkook didn't hate her. It was a relief, but at the same time, it made her uneasy. If he felt this way about someone else, he would likely confide in her without hesitation. She wished those feelings were confined to her alone.

“My lady, my heart is beating so fast.”

The woman smiled. Then Jungkook smiled too. Jungkook was completely captivated by her deeply sculpted dimples. He stroked her cheek with his hand. She thought she didn't dislike the warmth. Then, carefully and carefully, Jungkook caressed her face.

“Kim Yeo-ju. What did you do that turned into dating?”

Yoon-ki emerged from behind. He smacked Yeo-ju on the head with a slap, handed her a wad of paper, and walked away leisurely. Only then did reality sink into Yeo-ju's mind. Oh, Yoon-ki said he'd give her the notes he'd organized. And Yeo-ju's mind flashed back to him.

“Hey, lady. Look at me.”

He placed the hand that had been brushing Yeoju's face on his chin and pulled. It was a slightly precarious position. The deep dimples quickly receded. Jeongguk's expression hardened in regret. Yeoju pulled back from Jeongguk's gaze. The longing gaze in his eyes for her dimples was a little frightening.

“...I have to go to class.”

Jungkook didn't let go of Yeoju. He was afraid of losing her again. He couldn't understand why they were so scared. If they loved each other so much, they should just love each other. He worried about a future that hadn't even arrived yet.

“Let’s not go.”

Thanks to Jungkook, Yeoju unintentionally skipped class. Thanks to him, the two were called to the teacher's office and given the responsibility of staying behind to clean. Jungkook was relieved to have Yeoju by his side. The cleaning he hated so much was now completed with joy, thanks to each other's presence.

Because the cleaning work ended late, Yeoju and Jungkook were left behind in the empty school. Jungkook and Yeoju had cleaned the top floor, so they had to walk quite a bit to get out. It was autumn, close to winter, and it was chilly and eerie. Jungkook didn't feel the cold much, but Yeoju shivered.

“Hey, are you cold?”

Jungkook naturally hugged Yeoju. Because of that, she couldn't walk. They stood there for over ten minutes. She was glad to be warm, but as the gnawing cold subsided, darkness approached. A zombie movie she'd accidentally seen at home a few months ago suddenly came to mind. Yeoju shivered as she remembered the zombie's face. Then Jungkook, perhaps feeling cold, hugged her tighter. Thanks to that, her fear eased a little.

“Jeong, Jeongguk. What’s that noise over there?”

As winter drew nearer, the sun set early. Meanwhile, behind Yeoju, a rustling sound could be heard. Jeongguk looked around at Yeoju's words, but all he saw were empty classrooms, dusty hallways, and dirty windows.

“There is nothing.”

Jungkook tried to reassure Yeoju, but she continued to tremble. Feeling helpless, Jungkook carried Yeoju in his arms and left the school. As they reached the school gates, something followed them, thumping loudly. Jungkook ignored it and walked out the door. Then, silence fell. Yeoju naturally expected Jungkook to let her down, but he didn't.

“Don’t mess around, just stay still.”

What the hell? The heroine was surprised. "Don't mess with me?" It was the first time she'd seen Jeongguk like that.
