Episode 2 - Kang Taehyun

“What is thiiiiis!!!!”

Yu-jeong was still wearing the bear pajama she’d slept in last night, but the surroundings were unfamiliar.

“...This is a dream.”

If it was a dream anyway, Yu-jeong thought, maybe she should wander around a bit before waking up.

Then…

“Uh…?”

She spotted a boy who somehow looked familiar walking by.

He had a small face and a slim build, and he stood out even from far away. Several claw-machine keychains hung from his baggy black schoolbag, and his eyes were very big.

“He looks like someone… tch…”

At that moment, Yu-jeong made eye contact with the boy. Startled, she quickly looked away.

And then, she remembered something.

‘Kang Taehyun…!’

“Hey… hey…! You! Kang Taehyun! You’re Kang Taehyun, right!”

With a “what the hell, might as well” mindset, Yu-jeong called out his name.

And the boy, no, Kang Taehyun, turned back again and met her eyes.

“You know me?”

“Y-yeah…! I d-do…! Um… how old are you? Are you in high school now…?”

As Yu-jeong stammered and asked back, Taehyun gave her a suspicious look.

“Who are you. I don’t know you.”

“I know you! And I just kind of suddenly ended up here, so, uh, what year is it this year?”

If this wasn’t a dream - Yu-jeong thought. If someone had really granted her wish, then she’d definitely, no matter what, become close with Kang Taehyun!

Even if it was a dream, she might as well enjoy it to the fullest. Yeah, that’s what she had thought.

“2016… What are you doing? Why do you ask?”

“I see… then it’d be just about… when you became a trainee…”

“What?”

“Oh, nothing. More importantly… do you want to get close to me?”

“I told you, I don’t know who you are. I don’t get close to strangers.”

That’s what he said, but Kang Taehyun’s big eyes were full of curiosity.

‘Aaaah so cute so cute so cute,,,’

“From now on, we can get to know each other! So, um… I fell for you at first sight.”

That was really the best excuse she could come up with… Yu-jeong clapped a hand to her forehead in her mind.

“Then how do you know my name?”

Yu-jeong panicked and scrambled for an answer.

“W-well, I saw someone else calling out to you!! Really! You were so much my type that I was just watching you as I passed by! I’m really really serious, I swear!”

“Pff.”

Taehyun gave a small smile.

 

“Sure, whatever.”
