Episode 5 - The Three Musketeers

When break time ended, there really was a strawberry milk on Taehyun's desk. And out in the hallway, Yujeong was being scolded for being late to class.

‘Why go that far…’

Taehyun couldn't understand. Why Yujeong suddenly wanted to get close to him, or how he knew him. When Yujeong met the eyes of Taehyun, who was drinking the strawberry milk, he gave a faint smile.

‘What is wrong with him, seriously.’

Taehyun thought that, but for some reason he also felt a little uncomfortable.

“It was good.”

As soon as break time ended, Taehyun picked up the empty milk carton and went to find Yujeong.

“You finished it? See, I knew you like strawberry!”

“...Still, don't give me things like this anymore.”

“Why? I can buy you as many as you want! Because you're Kang Taehyun!”

“It makes me uncomfortable.”

Just as things were about to get awkward.

“Hey!! You're together again? Are you really sure this is the first time you met today? That's so crazy.”

“Uh... hi? You're Jihye, right? I'm Yujeong.”

“I know hahaha you shouted your name out loud earlier.”

“Ahahaha…”

After acting so boldly, Yujeong felt awkward for a moment.

“Why are you here?”

“Why? Your class is my class too, mo~”

Watching Jihye chat so naturally with Taehyun, Yujeong found it oddly amazing.

‘She's naturally hanging around Kang Taehyun… I want to get close too as soon as possible…’

“What are you thinking about?”

“Ah! No, it's not that... I was thinking about you~?”

“...?”

“hahahahaha”

Yujeong was even more flustered by the random words that blurted out in embarrassment.

“Ahahaha, Kang Taehyun, this kid's kind of cute?”

“How so?”

“Looks proper, but has a clueless side.”

When Taehyun glanced at Yujeong, Yujeong's ears and cheeks were slightly red.

“What do you mean by that,... no I don't! I just got startled for a second-”

As Yujeong spoke quickly in mild excitement, Jihye cut him off and grinned.

“Joooaah!! From now on, do you want the three of us to hang out together?”

“No.”

“Aww, I like it so much though? Okay~!”

“Kim Jihye, you have a lot of friends already. Last time there was that,... Choi Seobin? and them, right.”

“It's Choi Subin! And you're my oldest friend, you know! And I like this handsome-and-cute friend here too…”

“I like it too!”

“Great! By majority vote, the three of us are one group, bang bang bang! Verdict over! Kang Taehyun interference forbidden!”

“What the heck. At least a verdict like that should-”

“Aaahhhh, I can't hear you—”

“hahaha”

It seemed like the tension Yujeong had been carrying since the way to school had completely melted away.
