Episode 6

“Taehyun Kang, hi!”

“Oh, hi.”

‘Yay! He said hi to me! I guess that means we’re pretty close now?’

Yujeong sat down happily.

A little while later, during music practical class, when Yujeong tried to open the digital sight-singing sheet music on the computer, the file wouldn’t open.

“Uh... why won’t it work...”

When Yujeong looked around anxiously, Taehyun, who was sitting next to her, came over and quietly explained how to open the file.

“You have to press this, like this.”

“Ah, right... thanks...!”

 

Yujeong’s face burned red, and she felt like she was going crazy.

In a classroom with not a single sound, being this close to Kang Taehyun.

“Your face is red.”

Taehyun looked at Yujeong and grinned for the first time.

“...don’t look at me…//”

“Why? Do you get flustered?”

“...Yeah. I mean, don’t look at me.”

Taehyun made a look that said he understood and returned to his seat, and Yujeong also focused on the lesson again.

After class ended, Taehyun approached Yujeong.

“You knew me from way back? No matter how I think about it, what you said then... I can’t make sense of it.”

“...Ah..., actually, yeah. I didn’t want to say even this much. You’re the sun and the light who showed up when I was having a hard time. So I always wanted to stay by your side! Because I really liked you...”

Yujeong was, somehow, spilling out a confession that wasn’t a confession.

“So what I mean is-”

Yujeong quickly lifted her head, trying to smooth over the situation.

Then her eyes met Taehyun’s.

 

Taehyun looked a little surprised.

“Y-you wouldn’t know me. Ah! But I’m not a stalker or anything like that! I really just happened to get to know you by chance...!”

“...”

“Ughhh... say anything! It’s embarrassing... Why’d you come up to me all of a sudden and ask something like that...”

 

 

Taehyun felt something strange as he watched Yujeong chattering on with a face flushed red from embarrassment.
