While I was doing my sales work with all sorts of random thoughts in my head, the clock suddenly struck 6 o'clock. The deadline had arrived. I always think this, but deadlines are really annoying, irritating, and draining. When I organize books that people have read, I see them all torn, crumpled, and scribbled on, and as a book lover, it breaks my heart. That's why I hate deadlines. As I was organizing books like that, I noticed a very familiar cover in the place where Dae-hwi had been organizing books earlier.
"Huh...? This..."
The book had the exact same cover as the one I was reading, without a title or author. I opened it briefly, and inside, as expected, was the same content. But as I opened it, I suddenly felt a pang of pain. My leg, which had been fine until just now, began to ache. What was happening? I hadn't bumped or crushed anything, but it felt as if my bones were being crushed. I sat down on the floor, almost collapsing, for a moment, waiting for the pain to subside, but it showed no sign of abating, and I lost consciousness.

When I came to, I was lying on my bed in my room. The pain in my leg had subsided, and it no longer hurt. I got up and looked around. Then, something heavy beside me seemed to disappear, and Woong, with startled eyes and a quick tone of voice, checked my condition and spoke to me.
"!! Are you awake? Are you okay? You were lying down in the library, sweating profusely. What happened?"
"I'm fine, my legs just suddenly started hurting a lot."
"Why is someone with sore legs sweating and groaning... I was surprised."
"Okay, where's my book?"
"what?"
"The book I was reading."
I don't remember why I suddenly reached for a book in that situation. I just felt like reading. Woong looked flustered and dumbfounded, then left the room and came back with a book. It was a book, but it wasn't the one I was looking for. When I asked him why he'd brought it, Woong gave a generous smile and answered.
"Your favorite author just released a new book, so I brought it as a surprise gift~"
I was so grateful that he bought my favorite author's new book, but strangely, the words didn't come out. I was clearly feeling euphoric and wanted to hug Woong right now, but my body wouldn't move as I'd intended. And then, I blurted out something I didn't mean to say.
"I didn't ask you to bring me this book. I asked you to bring me the book I was reading."
I must have hurt Woong, but I couldn't help it. For now, I felt like reading that book was the only way to calm my complicated feelings. I was so out of it right now.
♧Fantasy Fairy Tale♧
Actually, I had a dream. A really, really painful dream. In the dream, I was in a car accident. I was going somewhere when I crashed into a car and I collapsed on the road. But... it seemed like no one could see me. I was in so much pain that I couldn't even scream, but I cried until my throat tasted blood, begging for someone to pay attention to me. But, but... nothing changed. Everyone just avoided me and went their own way. In that dream, no one paid attention to me, recognized me, or helped me. No one.
@: If I post at dawn, will you not be able to see it...? I don't have time to write during the day, so I always write and post at dawn, but when I think about it, it's around that time when everyone is sleeping. 😅 When would be a good time to post?
