There are definitely parallel universes. We knew there were different timelines, but all the doors and the way each MV in BU looks different...
It could mean that these are all different worlds that Seokjin is now traveling through. The mirrors represent doorways to other worlds.
Each music video featured a mirror/reflecting water element. The songs included: I NEED U, I need U (Japanese version), RUN, RUN (Japanese version), BS&T (Japanese and Korean versions), and Fake Love.

Parallel worlds could mean that this is why he never saved them..because rather than travelling through time in the same world, he was travelling through different worlds and never getting to save them ever.
