I'll be your season

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 2. The probability of meeting again

[Junho's POV - 2 AM, dorm]

Junho, who returned to his lodging after finishing his schedule, sat down on the sofa.
These days, I've been particularly hectic. Comeback preparations are endless, and now I have a fan meeting coming up.

But strangely enough, the most vivid moment of the day was that brief encounter.

A female college student bumped into in the hallway.
I kept thinking about the image of him apologizing with his big eyes blinking in embarrassment.
Especially the sentences in that notepad.

"I will become your season."

It was just one line, but somehow it stayed in my mind for a long time.
Junho quietly wrote that sentence down in his phone's notepad.
Sometimes, a single phrase like that would lead to lyrics.

"Wow... it was a strange day."

[Democratic Point of View - Two Days Later, University Library]

After that day, Minju also felt dazed.
While her friends were busy applying for fan signing events, Minju kept thinking about that one encounter.

โ€œMy heart is pounding for no reasonโ€ฆ It was just a coincidence.โ€

Just as I was about to open my laptop and write a report, my KakaoTalk message rang.

[jisoo]
"Minju, would you like to go work at the broadcasting station one more time tomorrow? The manager praised you for doing a great job last time!"

Minju hesitated.
If I go back, will I run into you again?
No, of course not. It's just one day among countless schedules.

โ€œโ€ฆYeah, itโ€™s just work.โ€
Minju sent a reply.

"Okay, I'll go."

[The next day, a cafe behind the broadcasting station]

After work, Jisoo dragged me to a cafe, saying she would buy me coffee.
A familiar silhouette appeared through the window.

Junho is quietly flipping through a book without even wearing a hat.
They seemed natural, like ordinary people, not staff working at the same broadcasting station.

โ€œโ€ฆHey, isnโ€™t that Junho?โ€
Jisoo whispered.

Democracy was frozen.
Then, as if by chance, Junho raised his head and their eyes met.

My eyes grew wide.
He smiled slightly and got up from his seat.

โ€œAre youโ€ฆ the person I saw in the hallway a few days ago?โ€

Jisoo stepped aside in embarrassment.
Junho stopped in front of Minju.

โ€œI still remember the sentence in the notepad I picked up back then.โ€

Minju's face turned red.

โ€œAhโ€ฆ thatโ€™s justโ€ฆ I like writing poetry.โ€

Junho nodded and said.

"That was a good sentence. Thanks to that, I felt a little comforted."

At those words, Minju looked up in surprise.
Junho left a brief greeting and sat back down.

After that short conversation, a small ripple occurred in Minju's heart.
It was a special day, too special to be dismissed as a mere coincidence.
