As the saying goes, where there is a meeting, there is also a parting, and now it is time to say goodbye.
[I'm Quitting My Fandom. Now], which ran from January to March, has finally concluded with the 15th. I mentioned in the 14th that I wrote this article because I was feeling tired of being a fan, but since last year and the year before, BTS has felt different to me. Those mysterious emotions that I can't express have been weighing on me.
I first discovered BTS in 2015, starting with their Japanese album. In 2016, my sister and I watched the "Not Today" music video and decided that Yoongi was my favorite. I've been with BTS ever since.
It's been seven years since I became a BTS fan, and I'm starting to get a little tired of it. I started out liking it, but seeing myself getting more and more tired, I took some time to catch my breath.
I stopped watching Weverse, Twitter, or BTS videos, and started watching other things. As BTS-related content became less and less noticeable, I realized I'd truly abandoned BTS. So, I wrote this post to try to pull myself together, but ultimately, I quit. Now, I don't follow BTS or even talk about them like I used to.
It's been so wonderful to be able to spend seven years with BTS, a time that felt neither fleeting nor lingering. For a long time, I've been happy, excited, and excited to see BTS's good news.
But now I'm going to cheer them on from afar. Maybe I've found a new favorite idol, so I might not even cheer them on anymore. Still, since BTS has been my favorite, my longest-running fandom, I always hope for the members' success.
BTS is gone from my gallery and algorithm right now, but I think ARMYs are always coming, everywhere.
I've been keeping a list of subscribers, but I'm not sure if some of them have canceled their subscriptions or if I made a mistake in my calculations.
