In our school, first graders are on the 4th floor, second graders are on the 3rd floor, and so on. Every day, they come up to my floor and come to see me. During break before physical education, they come once to ask if I have a gym uniform and give me snacks to buy and eat at the store.
One day, it was break time before English class, and I forgot to bring my textbook, so I went to borrow it from other classes. Since there was an English performance test at the time, most of them either took it home or had already lent it to other students.
There were about 3 minutes left during break, but I couldn't borrow it in the end. I was like, "Oh no, I'm screwed." Then, all of a sudden, my brother ran up to me and gave me an English textbook. I was going to ask him what happened, but I didn't have time, so I just said thank you and took it and went into class.
Then during break time, I went to my brother's class and asked what was going on. My brother said he came to see me during break time last time, but since I wasn't in class, he asked his friend where I was.
So my friend said he was going to borrow an English textbook, so I went straight to find the student council president. Because the student council president was keeping his promise to let the library borrow textbooks for each grade, he was in the process of getting last year's textbooks from other kids.
My brother went to the student council president and asked to borrow just one first-grade English textbook and got it. ㅠㅠㅜ When I heard that, I asked my friend what would have happened if he had borrowed it first, and he said he would have just said hello and left without telling her about borrowing the book. I said I was sorry.
