"Ms. A'tin, we're glad that you're awake."
A'tin flashed a smile and bowed as a sign of respect to the two men who just entered her room.
"Brother Dante, long time no see. Dr. Felix, why are you here?"A'tin asked with a confused look.
"Who wouldn't be surprised by you, Dr. Era? All of us in the psychology department were shocked when Sir Nase rushed you two here."
A'tin only gave a forced smile in return. Dr. Felix was one of his mother's apprentices, so he was completely worried about the girl even though she was only a third-year resident in the psychology department.
"W-wait, Paulo? What happened to him? Is he okay?"A'tin's question is not wrong.
"He's stable, Ms. A'tin. We are just waiting for him to wake up." Dante answered and A'tin just nod.
"Can we find out what happened?"Dr. Felix asked as A'tin recounted the incident.
"I just don't understand, Doc, why does Paulo insist that I remember that he is Sejun? Who is Sejun?"A'tin asked, surprising the two of them.
"W-wait...are you sure? Sejun himself introduced you?"Dante asked.
"It's Paulo, but he said he was Sejun. I don't understand. Why does he want me to remember him as Sejun?"
Dante's only response was a deep sigh.
"I think we need to tell her the truth, Dante. I believe that Sejun has a deep connection with A'tin. You also told me that A'tin is his love of life, right?" Dr. Felix said.
Dante was left thinking but he thought that they won't get anything from evading A'tin from knowing the truth.
"T-teka...ako po? I'm the love of his life? Doc, we broke up years ago already. That's impossible." A'tin asked and pointed to himself.
"It is possible, A'tin. Especially if Paulo's alter named Sejun is the one who has fallen in love with you."
"Alter? Does it mean that..." A'tin couldn't continue her thoughts as Dr. Felix interrupted her.
"For sure, you are thinking the same but yes, Paulo has a dissociative identity disorder, A'tin."
"S-since when, Doc?" A'tin asked nervously.
"It has been more than ten years, A'tin."
A'tin's mind went blank. Until she couldn't contain her emotions anymore; tears fell down from her eyes.
"Does it mean that he was already suffering from that condition back when we were still together?"
"Hah...no wonder why he suddenly changed on the third year of our relationship. T-that was the reason, huh?" A'tin uttered.
"Why didn't I notice that? I'm a psychiatrist for Pete's sake!" A'tin thought.
"W-why didn't you tell me, Kuya Dante? I broke up with him without knowing how much he was suffering."
The two men couldn't answer A'tin. They were just staring at the grieving woman in tears, feeling her pain.
"I was busy complaining at him back then. I was busy suspecting him for having tons of women without knowing the reason why he drastically changed. In fact, it might be possible that the one who broke up with me is not Paulo, but one of his alter."
Regrets filled A'tin's thoughts. She is so mad at herself for being an idiot and naïve about Paulo's feelings.
"Stop blaming yourself, A'tin. It was Paulo's decision to broke up with you. He doesn't want you to get involved with a man like him. It was for your sake, A'tin." Dante said to comfort the woman.
However, this made A'tin burst in tears even more.
"Who is the love of my life? Who broke my heart? Is it Paulo or Sejun?" A'tin thought in desperation and too much confusion.
