The second story
Meat used.
"hi?"
A voice that gives goosebumps the moment it touches the skin. A voice that sounds like multiple people speaking, overlapping. A voice that is neither low nor high pitched. Who on earth could it be? Jungkook turns around.
"hi?"
Something in the form of a human greets him once again. To think that something with a human form could exist in the universe. Jungkook freezes in surprise. The entity tilts its head, wondering if Jungkook hadn't heard its voice, and speaks again.
"hi?"
Jungkook finally accepts the greeting after three attempts.
Ah, hello.
Dalnim speaks first for Jungkook, who remains silent with a bewildered expression. "That one is Yuseong." Only then does Jungkook's stiff body relax. He had never dreamed that Yuseong would have the form of a human, just like himself. He had assumed that Yuseong would take the form of a meteorite, just like the other planets.
“So you’re a shooting star the same age as me. I’m Jungkook.”
“So you are Jungkook. The one with the same form as me. I’ve heard a lot about you from the Moon. I wanted to meet you, and I’m glad to meet you like this today.”
Yoo-seong offers a very perfunctory greeting to Jungkook. Although the word "happy" came out of her mouth, there was no change in her expression. As if she had memorized it word for word from a textbook. As if she were devoid of any emotion.
That child has no emotions.
Dalnim speaks first, just in case Jungkook gets upset seeing Yooseong's unchanging face. Jungkook doesn't seem to mind.
"okay."
Jungkook is not the type to pay much attention to other people's facial expressions. So, he simply lets Dalnim's words flow away casually. Then, he extends his hand to Yuseong, asking to shake hands. Yuseong, who hasn't yet learned about shaking hands, tilts his head in confusion. And understandably so, as in the universe, everything except Yuseong and Jungkook has no hands to shake.
“Ah, this is a handshake. You just have to hold my hand.”
As soon as Yoo Sung hears Jungkook's words, he clasps his hand. Then, he shakes along with Jungkook, who is shaking it up and down.
This means I am very glad to see you.
Shaking hands is really fun.
I don't know if it's really fun or not, but he looks faintly happy. Dalnim is startled because he has never been happy even this faintly before. Then, she falls into thought. Wouldn't that boy be good at teaching Yuseong about emotions?
“Oh boy.”
"Yes, Moon."
“Won’t you teach Yuseong about emotions?”
Jungkook looks at the shooting star once and then shifts his gaze back to the moon.

If Yuseong wants it too.
“Yuseong, don’t you want to feel emotions too? Don’t you want to empathize when you talk to other planets, and when you talk to that boy in the future?”
Empathy? What is that? Yoo-seong falls into thought for a moment. Then he recalls what Dal-nim taught him long ago. Sharing emotions together. Sharing emotions... Yoo-seong became curious. What is sharing? What is emotion? What is empathy? Yoo-seong nods and speaks.
I want to learn.
Yoo-seong looks at Jung-guk. Feeling her gaze, Jung-guk looks back at Yoo-seong. Just as he is about to tell Yoo-seong that he looks forward to working with her, his vision blurs. Ah, no. It is time to leave. He wanted to at least say, "Let's see each other again," but his voice won't come out because his head is ringing so loudly. In this way, Jung-guk's mind is consumed by reality, and his body slowly fades away.
“Where are you going? Are you coming back?”
Yoo-seong reaches out his hand to Jungkook's body as it slowly fades away. However, he grasps only empty air.
“…Goodbye. Jungkook.”
